  1. Nah, lipping or rolling is cool.
  2. Dane - The GTR is classed as a faster car under the parity rules so limited in permitted mods. GTR guards on a GTSt would be cool, but althought the material can be changed (to fibreglass or CF) basic body work must retain the same external shape as standard with the exception of some aero like GTR wings and bumpers etc.
  3. Depends on the car really... No good for GTR on either point though. On GTSt the lexan works, but the windows that open need to remain functional and usually scratches like hell. Any bolt-on panel could be swapped on GTSt for CF, but doors need to remain metal. CF on the GTR only works if its a Nissan option (eg Nismo or Autech) such as CF bonnet, undertray, wind blade.
  4. If anyone has questions about tarmac rally eligibility or safety etc I'm the Technical Manager for Targa Tasmania so feel free to ask as its really not that hard to get a car together. I used to race and rally various Nissan's including 200SX, R32 GTS-t and R32 GT-R... I navigate in an Integra Type R and currently building an RX7 SP so not just another useless administrator... well hopefully not that useless anyway!
  5. I did the same with the silver on mine; doesnt glare that way and looks more purposeful than wanktastic!
  6. The scale of this theft is absolutely sickening, but that's great news that there has been some recovery of product and cars. All the best guys.
  7. what colour is the body?
  8. really after 2 gtr rims to make a set to put on the motorsport hiace!
  9. cool. what color will you do it in? rx7 is progressing slowly, should be faster, but renovating a house and really need to get it sold by oct/nov so we can start building and the car has been put on the back burner. should be finished and racing by years end though.
  10. please me me if you have. not worried if they are damaged.
  11. you gonna paint your cage guesty?... or leaving it natural!
  12. yeah matt entered it with confidence of it being finished, but some issues with suppliers caused delays early on and and a few weeks out from TT the pin was pulled as it just wasn't going to be finished in time. hes bang up for next year though and the plan is to get some testing in prior... will be a hellva thing
  13. you should see that puppy now marlin!

  15. I reckon you'd only need to keep the standard belt if you want to use the rear drivers side seat for a passenger as the harness would get in the way otherwise unless you had the car signed off as a two or three seater as some Targa cars are. I'd keep it fitted too... in my experience you get over the harness pretty quick and a standard belt is much nicer if you had to drive from Hobart to Launceston etc.
  16. 3" FIA approved with centre rotary release are not ADR approved. The only ones that meet the ADR are the ones with standard seat belt style centre release and these are usually 2" and much cheaper than 3". That said... I've only ever used 3" with rotary release and never been a problem when Police at looked at the cars, but might be a different issue if a Transport Inspector took a look.
  17. Stack lap timer for $150!!... tell me where Dane!!
  18. this system will also suit R32 GTSt... cat-back obviously!
  19. yeah cleaned it up from the mud and ash they stomped into the carpet and seats... now just need to put it on the hoist to refit the loose plastics and repaint the rims thanks to their super driving ability!
  20. Yeah alarm and immobiliser. There were dirty marks on the roof where side slid something down the glass to undo the door. The ignition barrell was forced and last night only half the ignition key would go in, but put the key in and out a few times today and now fine. The ignition and alarm wiring appears untouched so stuffed if I know how they go it started... I had to press the button to start it again when I picked it up so the immobliliser still works... although not very well apparently! I locked up in the warehouse out of sight and will leave it there a while I think.
  21. Was found in Bridgewater and I've just picked it up thanks to some great work of the Police. It had near no fuel left in it when it was stolen so the shit heads nicked some fuel from a servo and thats how it was identified again. They damaged the paint on the rims by mounting some kurbs and the ignition barrell is rooted, but better than burt out. It will now be put in the warehouse for safe keeping... might even sell it. They also got the driver which is even better!
