If the A-pillar is plated or has a bar running tight and right down the pillar don't worry about putting anything on that one, its really just B and C pillars they look at as bars are usualy clean of them aside of a little tagging up top. Yeah just light weight speaker box material would do... thats all we did with the Integra if you caught a look of that in Burnie.
Some people cut up the plastic trim, but it can look terrible if not done well... with the RX7 I reckon some plastics would have to be cut into four pieces then glued into place to work so stuff that!
I'd heard of demister kits but not seen them for sale. We don't run a heater box in Mark Perry's R32 GTSt track car. Only one wet meeting in three years so not a massive concern.
For Targa/Rally Tas/Rallye Burnie etc you need to run but can mod dash, console, parcel shelf, a/b/c pillar trim.
You can replace door trim with carbon or cut standard trim to suit.
If its not practical to run a/b/c pillar trim, parcel shelf or rear side trim you can replace with fabric stuck on.
Boot you can strip.
With a hatch like RX7 I have to keep boot plastics as they are visable.
yeah same, only reinstalling the the dash shell. have thrown out heaps of usless crap, but kept the interior plastics for the tarmac rally regulations.
a weekend and a few tubes of stickaflex will sort out your rattles!
i was going to get the windscreen taken out, but thought I'd chance it as it was pitted and old so a new one would go alright... plus i'm keen on getting a heated one... although seems to be a fair wait unless you have a commdore, falcon or 911!
took the a/c and heat box out last night... not much left now!

6 cylinder BMW 3 series (e36/91-98).
Easy on fuel, not as expensive as people say to fix.
For 15k you'd get a nice one with service history, leather, sunroof, climate control, CD stacker and power everything.
Slip some 18s on it and your away.
juddieR31 - front end looks very ne
The RX7 is still ticking over... the whole interior is now out and hope to get the engine out next weekend. It goes to Jason White in early November for the cage and interior paint.
Had to remove the windscreen on the weekend to get the dash out... of course the screen broken during the process!
FYI - Have tried R32 and R33 GTR rims on my Series 6 - the R32 16s fit fine, but the R33 17 have issues with front guard clearance with running larger than a 235 tyre and a little guard rolling.
