  1. Yes mate, still have them. Sorry for my delayed responce, have been OS.
  2. Senssational! Its gonna be fun next season then, I'll pull to the left to let you through!
  3. Pulled the best bits off a GTR and put them on the RX7!! I think GTR Brembos will find there away under the rims too.
  4. ...or of the car was rejected for full compliance and the approval could have been reviewed for race/drift (closed circuit) or rally (limited road) use. Either way, it will never see full rego legally.
  5. 2WD GTSt is the pick for the track. We have eight or so running in the state series down here (Tassie). Speaking from personal experience, the GTSt is an even a better option for the track than a GTR... if you've going to try and keep to any budget! The GTSt was actually reeling off faster times than the GTR (set up for tarmac rallying) and one could be put together at a % of a GTR build cost.
  6. ...for those who don't know, the GTiR ended up in the dirty pond on South Riana that the XA GT and 33 GTR ended up in this year and thanks to stone cold tyres Leo's georgous 33 ended up 10 or so metres down a bank on Sideling... so Ross' cleary wasn't trying!
  7. Not the first Camera Car to stick it off though, there was Charles in the ex-Nismo GTi-R on South Riana, Leo in the 33 GTR on Sideling and although not a the Camera Car, Zero ripping its wheel off at T98 is worthy of a mention, particually when it was an MG supplied MG-F and the wheel was torn off out right outside the MG/Rover Corp' Villa! Ross was getting into it here and there though
  8. PHaT_MR30 - I'll find out the sizes and let you know. As to Targa Torque, that show was produced in two days by a team also putting together our news packages so they were under the pump and did great job with limited resources, but yes a little more variety would have been good... perhaps a pink S15 could have livened things up a bit! Marlin - Great minds think a like. Showoroom is part of our future plan, but with some revisions. I am currently working with some manufacturers on this one and we will hopefully have some announcements later in the year on this front. Yes, as sav_man said, the 2006 DVD had footage of all cars from the crane camera at different sites around the course. It was pretty good, but we will be building on this in 2007. As to paying the same money, your right, but I watched the 1997 DVD last night (researching Mazda Motorsport's two RX7 SP's from that year!) and it was 89min in total, yet it was still the cars that were either winning, different, crashing or turning it on for the crowd that got the coverage, nowerdays the DVD is easy double that with all the special features and full stage incar so hopfully we are offering better value for money. The event captures so much film it is a shame so little is used, but product costs are massive and that some manfacturers and professional teams 'sponsor' some of the productions by way of contribution to reduce production costs helps, their method is way one way to ensure coverage by 'buying' it much the same as many other categories offer. Marlin/sav_man - Above all and in general the DVD and telecast hasn't been overly exciting particually in the last two or three years, but the great team at SCTV are taking much more creative input from us this year to produce a better package that will overcome a lot of common concerns expressed by many. I'm very pleased to say that yes there will be a lot more classic footage on this years production.
  9. Got me you bugger! I guess the major problem about putting every car on there is not every car is overly exciting!... there will certainly be every car on the DVD though.
  10. Be nice! Much like the entire event this year we're injecting fun and public appeal into the video this year.
  11. Dates just in - Targa Tasmania 2007 will be telecast on Southern Cross Television at 1:30pm on Sunday May 27 as the lead-in program to the AFL match Kangaroos v Demons. The show will be preceded by a repeat of the Targa Torque program seen on the Friday night during the event. We're still waiting on the national slots, but will confirm when we've got them.
  12. Not sure, I only have the Skyline stuff, but pre-event I did mention that to Beech... there would atleast be a split 17x8 front 17x9 rear option I would imagine like the 2WD Skylines.
  13. Nismo optioned a host of rims up to 18x10 for various GTR models, but not for all models. eg R33 GTR can run standard 17x9 or up to 18x10 in the case of Dave Ayers this year who was the only wearing the proper Nismo rims. There is not compete freedom as the size you run must be listed and published by Nismo so in the case of the R32 GTR you could run a 16x8 if its a base model, 17x8 if its a V-Spec/V-Spec II or N1, or if you drawn on options 17x9 as Thatch did, or up to a max 18x9 as Tony did. No 18x10 was listed for R32 GTR. I've got a list in the office if anyone wants to know more. Previously the rules were you must run the rim size as fitted standard, and thats still the case, but if there is a listed option from time of sale then you can drawn on it. Rim options will remain a freedom for some time to come, but engine and suspension options particually have been limited under the latest revise of the regulations and components like 80mm exhausts and thicker radiators where given grace this year only as the revised technical regulations were only released the Friday before this years Targa. Hope this helps...

    Rb25 And Rims

I need to make room for all the rotary parts so out the Skyline stuff goes! RB25 bare long motor (in parts ready for rebuild, but without gaskets. Will offer parts separately) - $depends what you want Volk Racing 17x9 Challenge Series rims for GTR (black finish) - $1500
  16. There for a good while the Dunlop's (D01J sorter days) were more expensive than the Bridgestone's (RE520/RE540) for little to no gain and with brand loyalty I guess people don't know how much of gain can be seen in recent release tyres until they try them. As we all know, price doesn't always equal performance alone - the P-Zero Corsa would have to be one of the hardest, nastiest tyres I've used and they are also one of the most expensive... lets not even mention Advans! I guess the moral of the story is to try as many tyres as you can on the car you will be using them on (and tune your suspension and pressures accordingly) and make a personal choice or be lead by people you trust.
  17. I've always used Bridgestones too in both good and poor conditions, in road events and on track - RE520, 540 and 55... but they don't seem to have the edge they once used to. I'm going to try Kuhmos on the RX7.
  18. He runs Bridgestones through his fleet vehicles and the Dunlops have always been more expensive. Dunno what Bridgestone are thinking, but they really are a generation out of sinc now with their competitiors.
  19. Marlin - Ayersie was on RE55s last year not Dunlops. haw001 - Steve sent me this one... I assume at the shipping yard. She is a sorry sight. You guys were very lucky.

  23. Left over from my old R32 GT-R tamac rally car: A set of brand new and never fitted R32 N1 intercooler vents. Fibreglass construction ready for paint. $125 express delivered ($145 at www.justjap.com)
  24. Its nice and quiet for now... just a nice little Mazdaspeed rear muffler on it. So quiet in fact that you can hear the turbos whizzing!
  25. Mark Perry won Targa B... four wins from four races and gees hasn't he told everyone!! I picked up the RX7 on Saturday, its a pretty good base as a racer. I Hope to have it at the final round this year. I tried some GTR rims on it yesterday, they are fine at the rear with some lipping, but need some massaging and lipping at the front. The Volks are certainly on the market now as they have even more offest - $1500!
