  1. Sorry mate I don't know. Whatever they were it wasn't very laggy when I drove it and then at about 7k the cams kicked it... it was like it came on boost AGAIN! On Elf Turbomax it was good for 400+kW.
  2. That car is now in Launceston Tasmania, owned by a guy named Paul. I drove it when it was owned by Greg Garwood (top Porsche driver in Targa Tasmania), he bought it off Jones. Very impressive car.
  3. By the looks of the VIN its a just a pretty normal R32.
  4. With 18" R tyres, a strut brace and stiff shocks/springs my 200SX used to crack screens from the lower drivers side right up to the top passenger side when doing track days (no cage). The GTSt would also do the same at race meetings, and the only fix was to stitch the front legs of the roll cage to the A-piller. That said, the GTR's cage wasn't stiched to the A-piller and that didn't crack... maybe the GTR chassis is stiffer than GTSt?
  5. In my mind Tander's efforts were far worst than Kellys display, which could be take a few ways... but had the DJR car not cause such damage to Lowndes car, with the Kelly drive-through factored in everyone could have enjoyed some actual racing instead of the poor performance we actually saw... how anti climatic.
  6. Its not hard smoothing the surface and prepping it with a light file and some wet and dry paper, but unless you are confident you can give it a good finish leave the painting upto a bodyworks.
  7. You could look at getting some used Carrera Cup or V8 Supercar rotors... 365 377 x generally 35, but then you'll need to get hats and mounts made up so not so easy to go cheap on big rotors.
  8. Nah, all the GTR I've seen and mine was the same, the holes are in the metal reo ready and waiting for the N1 ducts to be put in the bumper. The GTSt reo needs to be cut to fit though. I used to like N1 ducts, but now think the ruin the smooth bumper line when installed.
  9. Have sent you a PM mate.
  10. Check your PM
  11. There was one on a R32 GTSt I raced for a season a couple of years back. It was a little limiting in tune as it only 'bends' the factory maps and has since been replaced with a PFC. Dollar for dollar I reckon a PFC is now a much better option, plus Unichip requires the car to be tuned by only APS approved workshops so isn't very flexible.
  12. My experience is with Vandenberg notes, as TT says they provide reference points - signs, trees, power poles, power lines (crossing above) ect - therefore no need for distances. A greater number of cars than you would think don't use distance devices, but handy for not getting lost on transports!
  13. Would swap for the right R33 GTS25t...
  14. Your TT entry was on my desk an hour ago Duncan... thumbs up from me! To me distance devices are pointless if you are using pace notes. Just reset the speedo on the touring stages and you'll be fine, at TT you'll generally be following cars anyway on the open road. I have used Peltor in car comms and work a treat, very clear but you don't have individual controls for nav and driver to raise or lower the sound. Terra Trip do. There is also a cost effective Sparco kit that does the rounds on Ebay (new). A mate bought one and used it at TT last year, worked well. Came with amp and heatsets for the cost of just a Peltor amp.
  15. Thanks mate.
  16. No they arn't but just plug the holes.
  17. How do you guys think 17x10+30 Volks will go on a R33 GTS25t? Not too concerned about the fronts, but are they likley to clear the rear?
  18. you couldn't get a bigger sticker bart?!
  19. I forgot to say its got over 12 months rego left too, just renewed it (Exp 09/12/2007).
  20. I've had DBA5000 with my Brembos and they worked well on the road, but warped under the hi temp stresses of competition with quick hot-cold cycles. Get a price on some two piece Alcons or Harrops if you want something really good, but DBA5000 would be fine for most work including having a crack every now and then.
  21. I've had insurance with Shannons for over six years with everything from the current 318i and the previous standard 300ZX, to modified 200SX, MR2 GT and my old tarmac rally GTR. I have always had only the best experience with them and would strongly suggest calling them back, if for nothing other than to talk to someone else. I've never hear of them talking about power to weight ratios... but if you have motorsport involment or participated in any car club activies or track days that will interest them and help them in gaining confidence in your abilities.
