  1. quick up date on the rx-7 - the cost of the motec has now exceeded the purchase price of the car and it's not nearly finished yet! ...looks flash though, and thats the main thing!
  2. so true timmy! hey damo you still want those lights? i'll be in launceston tomorrow.
  3. A couple of guys from Canada (one is a well known jurno over there). They ran the event back in 2001 and have been keen to get back but put off by the spend getting a car out from there, so leasing this car was a much more cost effective option and pretty safe considering the car is pretty much all new or rebuilt. It's nearly finished, waiting on the rear shocks to come back from being revalved and it's going back to the North West coast tomorrow for final Motec install now it's run in.
  4. Yeah the cars are still at the Silverdome each night, but we're just not doing a public night... instead presenting awards at George Town post stage (Tuesday) so people can check them out, the Devonport Town Stage and also at Targa Fest on Friday night in Launceston City. The main reason for this is obviously the massive crowds that will demand to see my RX-7 and they will simply tear apart any dirty old Evo, STi or Skyline in the inevitable unruly rush!!

  6. PS. R32 GT-R's are eligible for Classic Targa Adelaide (announced today to be run in September 2011)... have been over the course and a good 32 couldn't be a bad thing on the roads! PPS. Yes Woo, on to it mate.
  7. Ok, lets condense three years into one post... I started with this and drove it twice did this this and this got some of these did this got some of these these these and one of these as well all new ones of those and so far we've ended up with one of these Given a few more weeks it should start looking more complete... but truth be-known I should have just kept this because i'm pretty sure it could be faster and looked tougher than the rx-7 ever will ever be!
  8. haha, call it margin paul! have got a pallet of parts arriving for the 34 this week. will be a great car come targa time. got an email to say my rx-7 finally hit the road for a quick test on friday! now the question is do we have time to get all the motec gear setup or just put a pfc on it for the boys to run targa tas... either way i'm looking forward to getting it on the track for a quick testing play and woo has sparked my interest in having a run at eastern creek time attack, as i hear twin turbos and e85 can do some half reasonable numbers. steve at just jap has offered up a car to get my eye in on that track prior so no many excuses left!
  9. Tony hopes to have his new STi ready for TT11.
  10. can't wait to see you on the circuit with this machine ben... gotta be the flashest gtst out there.
  11. Yeah that's right.... but a few
  12. Catchy ran dirty ol' slider calipers under his 16s on the front from memory too!
  13. A Motec ADL or SDL is either backlit or not as they're different boards. You can send a non-backlit to Motec for upgrade, but as you're changing the fundamentals it would be easier and maybe cheaper to sell and buy a new one. I've got the new M84 going on my FD and couldn't help but get the a dash too... instead of the timing beacon path I've gone GPS instead which should be cool to play with (http://www.motec.com/gpsg1/gpsg1overview/).
  14. I have a new MoTeC M48 and loom for sale It was purchased, never used and is now no longer required. 21. Custom Carbon Components and ccubed are one and the same. Although I have heard and seen some great results from them, I have also been involved with a project that wasn't delivered particularly well by them, disappointingly as their workmanship appears to be great for some clients.
