26motorsport is talking about the pics in my gallery. 26motorsport owns the R32 GTSt that I raced in the pics.

Your taking your new title WAY to seriously!! The above said, you've gotta love how I only posted the pics where I'm in front of Greg in one, and the rest of the field in the other!!
  4. I've got a V-Spec II R32 with standard Brembos on the rear and everyone keeps saying not to use the handbrake at speed. Something about the teeth getting torn? The handbrake in my S14 saved two offs in hairpins, so whats the difference with the GTR handbrake?

  6. Yeah Targa Class of the Octagon Series.... the only rule is that you need to run R tyres as we group categories into time brackets. Takes all the hassles out of eligibility and puts the emphasis back on on fun... its still serious competition though.
  7. We have up seven GTRs that compete in the tasmanian circuit series, not including the GTSt's.
  8. An L2S (Supersprints, hillclimbs etc) licence is $66 from memory. That’s for a year, but to participate you also need to be a member of a CAMS Car Club - TDRC, LCCT, HSCC, NWCC etc. TDRC membership is $40 I think. For the state and national circuit races and series you need what’s called a National Circuit licence, I just got my renewal (and lost the paperwork already!) for this and it is about $400 + medical ($100) + Car club membership.
  9. West - Sorry mate, just re-read your post, don't bother with Race only, Rally is just as easy to get and then the car has more resale value as a tarmac rally car and not just a circuit car.
  10. There is no such thing as an LS3... if you want to import it for Rally Use, like I did mine (First half serious event for the GTR is Rally Burnie in 2 weeks!), you need a CAMS National Rally Licence. The National Rally licence costs less than $200, I think you need to do a CAMS Medical ($100) (I just added the Rally component to my National Circuit licence and you need to do a medical for that so I assume Rally is the same), you need to do an on-line CAMS Rally Lecture and do a observed licence test at a hillclimb or supersprint etc. Its all simply stuff, but make sureyou have evidence of the Rally Licence, if you just apply with an L2S you application will be rejected and if you only have an National Circuit Licence then the approval will only be for Race.
  11. try reading the cams or fia manuals!
  12. no harness just an international standard seat belt. read close and you'll see it only says the cage is recommended, not compulsory! its worded this way for insurance. send me an e-mail and i'll forward you some info on events and stuff - [email protected]
  13. you don't need a cage in your car for most events. you can still do track days, super sprints and hillclimbs without a cage.
  14. so at symmons was the track used in race direction or the otherway?
  15. it would depend on the task you had in mind for them... the RX7 would make a great circuit racer and cruiser. but the EVO would make a great run-a-round and hillclimber!
  16. The only drilled rotors to get are genuine Brembo. They arn't drilled, but actually cast with the holes so stronger and don't crack as easy, but are expensive. DBA4000 (slotted) would be my recommendation, I have now swapped to DBA5000 (slotted and with alloy hat), for OEM Brembo R32/33/34 these are approx $550 each, and only available for the front.

The L series rally engine is coming out and RB20DET going in.
  19. Conrad - are they mud flaps on the lower back? N1 lips look cool and actually work. I'm getting a carbon one made right now!
