  1. The my g/f's 300ZX, my GTR and my soon to arrive MR2 GT, I bought thru Prestige Motorsport and have done all the compliance myself.... everything was pretty easy, but it would be far easier if you don't have contacts to just buy something already here. The clear short fall of buying sight unseen is that you don't really know what your buying until it arrvies, PM's inspect reports are pretty close, but in the case of the GTR they didn't know that the turbos had sht themselfs.... a costly couple of components if unlike me you didn't already have some spares waiting. Compliance costs are generally around $1k extra for 4 new belts etc etc, plus rego, plus a service, plus a good cut and polish and maybe some bodywork, new stereo and maybe tyres, pads and rotors.... by this time your fast approaching the same price as an import dealer car that you get a warranty with.
  2. Optimax has now gone up to $2.00 a litre from shell in the drum..... $1.50 was fair, but fark that now. Sunaco 110ron is only $3.00!!
  3. cool. thanks mate.
  4. The text in Hyper Rev Tuning Guides.... only japanese or some english?
  5. I'm after four R32 GTSt centre caps, the ones with the S in the middle. Pref in the standard silver finish. PM me.
  6. shannons insure my r32 gtr, its on the super light use policy.... not more than 4000ks a year. only 800 notes though. if i do more than 4000ks, it jumps up $300 to 8000ks. then a few more hundred if more than 8000 to unlimited ks. perfect for me.
  7. check if the bonnet is the genuine nissan item, replica R34 N1's are never usually fitted with the genuine item as they're something like $11k.
  8. yeah fabricator.... has a workshop in grove road glenorchy.
  9. big john will sell calipers.... $8k an end though! you can always pick whitey's work by his bewdiful welds.
  10. any material, any color. PM me.
  11. you couldn't get a better designed and fabricated system than whitey could make, but it wouldn't be cheap.
  12. from what i understand only 4 cars have ever used the white hot dyno.... the white hot $300,000zx the white hot evo 7 the white hot r34 and the r32 i drove in the octagon series this year!
  13. Nissan say that the intercooler ducts, skirts with low rear section, bonnet lip and lower rear boot lip were all optional, but standard on N1 and Nismo versions.
  14. Mine was bought in as a race/rally car, the plan is to run tarmac rallies.
  15. No oil cooler on the VSP or VSP II, only on the N1.... but mine now has a snazzy HKS cooler with remote filter. The only diff i can spot between the VSP and VSP2 is 245 tyres on the VSP2.
  16. Nice, bugger all difference between I and II... best thing over the regular R32 would have to be the brakes. Shame they didn't have an oil cooler though. I think the old white JMS drag car was a V-Spec 1.
  17. So does anyone one know how many are in the country? I've got one, but don't know of any others.
  18. i'll then them an e-mail and find out what sort of cars are coming down. maybe we could try and meet up with up with them?
  19. btw - just got an e-mail from damien pearce from speed mag. he said their will be an nissan/datsun club event touring around the state (similar to targa rex) in early feb.
  20. i haven't heard of anything, but it could be cool. my r is in melbourne. should be here next week
  21. you keen to start something up alex?
  22. Sorry, never tried Rosso's. Corsa's are the DOT approved R (semi competition) tyres. The difference between R tyres and even performance road tyres are chalk and cheese.
  23. wrxhoon - Thats just the kind stuff i wanted to know! Aiming for 300kws with minmal stress on components. Yeah, while its apart I figure do the gearbox and clutch too. Thanks.
