  1. Made me laugh when i read paragraph 2.1 Definition of a hoon "The slightly rebelious, sunglass clad, ever so cool dude" lol
  2. Haha yeh i've heard a few good ones myself but lemon juice is a new one lol. thanks for ya help.
  3. Forgot to mention that car is standard with FMIC and full exhaust. I will Do the diagnostics test and clean out the AFM and see how that goes thanks for your help.
  4. Just after your ideas on this and if you have experianced this problem before. Was out on the weekend when my mates R34 GTT suddenly lost all power. I was behind him in my 34 when it happened and i immedietly noticed black smoke coming out the exhaust. i assumed it was a blown cooler pipe but after checking them and looking for any other leaks we could not get it to run. I then tried unplugging the AFM as this was my next guess and it suddenly would run but when driven not rev past about 2500rpm. Am i right in saying the AFM has blown and by unplugging it the car has gone into limp mode (i noticed the engine check light is on once this is unplugged)? The car was on light throttle when this happened at about 45km/h. I had a bit of a search around but couldnt find any problems exactly like this so any help would be greatly appreciated oh and yes i have pulled the AFM apart and the soldering looks perfect. Thanks in advance.
  5. Have you still got the Snorkel i am keen on it how much shipped to Sydney thanks? (Pm me)
  6. Haha that thread was gold.
  7. 5cm Geeze thats crazy lets hope this doesnt get enforced you could get done for picking up a couple of mates, lucky i got fairly stiff coilovers i suppose at least they don't sag so much, but seriously this is rediculous just another stupid law. Don't get me wrong i agree 100% with stopping those ediots that cut there springs on their fully sick VL but this is a bit over the top.
  8. Yeh true its like Commodore keys in the VT's etc have a metal bit that sticks out a little that earths around they key on a metal strip. It isnt uncommen they break either leaving you stranded trust me
  9. They dont have a transponder in them unless some had it as an option as i was with my mate when he got his 98 GTT spare key cut just at the local locksmiths at the shopping centre. The guy there thought the same thing and checked it twice for the transponder but nothing. I havn't got a spare cut for mine yet but i dont think it should be a problem as long as they have the right blank key.
  10. Yeh another +1 Car looks schmick with those mods love the look of Carbon on that colour great job.
  11. My Weekender is my daily for the moment anyway.
  12. Yeh they are supposed to have one it just doesnt have anything written on it, its just plain black. A lot of people leave them off to try help the coils as a fair amount of heat builds up under there i have left mine of so its not uncommen.
  13. I have standard rear R33 series 2 suspenion with USR Springs PM me if your interested
  14. Do you have the carpet for the boot? if so i would be keen to grab it let me know how much thanks?
  15. From what i know the 34 is actually smaller than the 33 length wise so you would have to cut down the exhaust length by a little bit.
  16. You could but i wouldn't go too crazy on it just use it as you daily untill your allowed to buy a turbo or V8 then spend you money on that it will be worth the wait. If i was going to do anything i would upgrade the brakes and suspension maybe the exhaust then just enjoy learning to drive in it so that when you finally are able to get something quicker it wont end up rapped around the nearest telegraph pole.
  17. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1212FC33CA98 There you go you can get them in manual too.
  18. GT means non turbo in R34's. GTS means non turbo in 32's and 33's Ill have a quick look for a link now.
  19. I'd get something like a nice 4 door R34 GT and just enjoy driving that untill you get of your p's then get yourself a GTR with the money you have saved up over the years and you wont look back.
  20. 22. Was 19 when i bought my 1st skyline 96 R33 GTST Then bought my R34 GTT when i was 21. And i don't plan on buying anything else but more skylines in the future haha.
  21. I Could be wrong but isn't that the handbrake on warning light?
  22. Sorry don't really know much about them. So from what you have it looks like it could be a switch to tun the HICAS on and off.
  23. I'm going to guess it might have something to do with the suspension???? My mates old R31 GTS-X had a button to firm up the suspension that was standard but was located in front of the centre console, maybe they moved it too the boot or omething like that it deffinetly is a strange one thats for sure will be interesting to see if anyone has seen anything like it before. Have you tried tracing the wires to see where they lead too? The fact that the box says KYB on it points to something like suspension. It hasn't got a different rear end in it that has HICAS because i know the electric motor on later model HICAS was made by KYB.
  24. Ok took a couple of photo's but they didnt come out real good. This is the best one. Looking at em there is a couple of mm gap untill it starts to go down the side of the front window then it pretty much sits flush hope this helps
