  9. Hey mate Yeh i met him a few years ago with the 120y he helped me out with a few good ideas on what to do with it. He has been a great help with the S13, Also with the tuning side of things and gave me a hand building the engine and Eddie does all the exhaust work for it. He is doing well busy as always but always looks after me, i have seen your avatar picture on the wall there come to think of it He isnt using the 120y much at the moment, though he did 1 event earlier this year Rae has prolly used it more than him lately lol, but more recently she has been co-driving for Ashby in an older S12 Silvia.
  10. Yeh will do for sure, if anyone wants anymore info on the car or is looking into one for the same thing let me know im happy to help
  11. Yeh keeps me smiling for sure. BB, i can't say i have seen that one but i know of a couple around the suspension is def important in these things like all circuit/rally cars, so im looking forward to getting something decent for it.
  12. Well compared to my 120y its unreal, but you would want to hope so lol They are, the class of events and the competition lately have been extremely good. The Silvia is only a new project i finished building in April. Its done 2 events the Amsag Cowra shire rally and the Orange rally last weekend. Its still in the testing period really but has already proven itself with a couple of very competitive stage times. Suspension travel seems fine i am actually talking to Murray Coote at the moment as to what we can do with the car because of the last event being its first proper gravel rally with big gutters and jumps the suspension i had died after the first stage. We did suspect this would happen as it was only tein superstreets with my own springs i had made and really was just a guess to get us started. Brakes i have also not upgraded as yet but already have some R32 items waiting to go on. Car is making 320hp at the rears so power is not a problem in fact its on the verge off too mutch as its hard to stop wheel spin. Its looking to be a great little car and a lot of people are interestred in it already i suspect there will be a few more being made up sooner rather than later. Here are a couple of in car vids from its very first event it was suffering over boost at this one so no full throttle but was still fun to drive this was fixed by a nice 38mm external gate. They are certainly a cheaper opiton to an evo or subaru, the little SR20 so far seems a great little engine it has a nice big intercooler and a oil cooler and temps are staying within a safe level. The car copped an absolute pounding at the last one and apart from a few big dents in the sump guard and a cracked front bar everything else seems perfect which i was pretty suprised with.
  13. Welcome to SAU. What import are you looking at getting? Nice pic too
  14. Spotted Bis-e Bee i think it was a dark red M35, Yesterday around 5pm turning right from Sunnyholt road onto Windsor road.
  15. My Rally Car. Its the 2nd car ive built for the Amsag southern cross rally series. Its a 1993 S13 Silvia with SR20DET.
  16. Hitachi impact drill Perfect for changing tyres in the middle of a stage and it not taking 5minutes to get the wheel nuts off.
  17. Pic from a cruise on the putty road
  18. I would suggest you try changing oil. What are you running now? has it only started doing this recently in the colder weather? My mates 34 GTT did the same thing untill we changed too Motul 300v 10w-40, within a couple of days it stopped doing it and hasnt done it since.
  19. Yeh seemed sturdy/safe and has been in the car for a few events no dramas. its just the bottom they have left open for some reason. the rest is like a normal race seat
  20. Had 1 in the Dato for the Co-driver, its not a bad seat, pretty comfortable but thats because it isnt a full plastic/fiberglass seat, its got just foam and straps to hold the foam on the bottom.
  21. ah ok will keep an eye out for it, still have not seen another one on the road apart from you.
  22. I've had this problem myself when i had my 33 i thought it was a problem with wiring as well lol. Talked to my mechanic about it and he has seen the same problem before it turns out its the rubber boot around the gear shift, mainly happens in 5th gear as thats the biggest stretch for it. We ordered a new boot from Nissan for like $20 and it never happened again, and yeh it was like a white smoke but didnt smell like gear oil at all but was def coming from the gearbox. Cheers.
  23. Sounds good, will be keeping an eye out for sure Terry.
  24. Its pretty simple, if you take the wheel off you will see where the c spanners need to go to loosen the nuts then its just a matter of winding the springs up or down with the nut then locking them back into place once done.
