  1. Big thanks for that. Heh I'll have to take your word for it about the terrible handwriting. Guess the thing that scares me is the underbody rust. I guess a general rule for me being Japanese illiterate is to avoid in general cars with any writing under the negative points. Unfortunately, some may be pretty minor and I wouldn't know.
  2. I think a lot depends on where u do most of your driving. eg. daily driver, going to work in city everyday stop/start constantly I' d rather an auto. Especially, with heavy clutch. For everything else eg. me going from suburbs to outer suburbs to work everyday - not too much slo stop start = manual. Especially, cos I love hillclimbs and twisty stuff. Out of 6 cars, 5 have been manual (although the 1st was a column shift so I guess its clear where my preferences are. Bottom line I was so glad to get rid of that boring auto and get back into manual.
  3. Change is inevitable. I for one would love a 350z or V35. grr ... shan
  4. Thanks for your help. I am mostly interested in the 4 lines in the lower corner, the options and the 2 lines below that. The second line seems to be saying 5 speed manual trans (below the options). Is all this written in Kanji?
  5. Things I can tell: 1998 2.5L ECR33 GTSt Grade 4 Interior Grade B 80,100 km KR4 = silver 5 speed AC 3 minor pin dents each side minor scratch on backside medium and minor scratch on front bumper Things not sure about: Windscreen damage? PW= power windows? AW=? PS= power steer? I7B=? Interested in the Advertising section and options section (2 boxes above car) and the negatives section lower left (4 lines)
  6. Looks like the series 1 sedan kept the battery in the boot but the series 2 moved it under the bonnet? Does this mean the series 2's rear seats fold down to give more room?
  7. Yea looks good, they seem to stick out a fair way from the rest of the light assembly. You got to keep your fog lights too! Do they have the same colour schemes as the coupes ie. silver, white, blue, maroon etc
  8. Smooth as silk jlnewton. I like that treatment. Did you have to change anything else like the front light assembly to be like a coupes? Pity the original front makes them look a little more dif. I used to dislike the sedans but now I like em as much as coupes. hehe let me know if you decide to sell... PM Sent
  9. Please post or link, etc. Especially interested in series 2's. I miss my Skylines but I'll need 4 doors if I'm gonna get another. Thanks, Rich PS ran searches not much success
  10. Learning to drive in a skyline or other performance car could be pretty dangerous. Eg. driving a GTST or GTT in the wet for the first time while learning to drive....

  12. Yea I just ment that I had seen it before by posting that link - nothing more. Thats more than a reasonable price Steve, for what appears to be a quality import. If only it was a 4 door i might be interested. Good luck with sale.
  13. I've called a few places in Brisbane now and haven't had any luck apart from Nissan Spare parts who want to sell me the whole assembly for $400+. So if anybody knows of a R33 being wrecked in SEQ please let me know or if u know of wreckers that have R33 parts. The part I am after is part of the window winding mechanism. At the bottom there is a ball and socket type arrangement that runs along a track parallel to the ground. I really need one of those little white round things that run inside that track.
  14. Interested in part of the window winding mechanism. At the bottom there is a ball and socket type arrangement that runs along a track parallel to the ground. I really need one of those little white round things that run inside that track. For a decent price I will take more of the assembly if its too difficult to separate.

  17. It's part of the window winding mechanism. Theres a ball and socket type joint along the bottom of the window just below the the scissor type assembly. Two white balls run long a metal track parallel to the ground where the sockets join into. I am after one of those little white balls. Have done lot's of ringing around, finally called Nissan. They want to sell me the whole assembly for $400+...ouch Oh the car is an R33GTR and its the drivers side. Maybe GTS + GTST would have the same, maybe even 32's and 34's also. Please help if u can - maybe send by post?
  18. Don't know which ING account your talking about but Savings Maximiser is 5.25% and Managed Fund not much more last I remember. Yea but definately a no, no to importing old GTR's - cars are not an investment, well almost never. Seems property is a good way to go, gain enough equity purchase the next one and so on. I guess your reducing the risk by having more links in the chain but perhaps increasing it too. Tax refunds can help pay the interest and if you get into trouble sell one of the properties and consolidate. Seems that the housing market in QLD is moving towards a buyers market has been a sellers for a while. Don't expect prices to go back to pre-boom figures again. No more cheap houses in QLD - well not just over $100k cheap anyway. I'm gonna have to leave the Skyline world and start gaining some equity. Ain't gonna be pensions when we are geezers I don't think.
  19. I saw a silver or was it light gold one near Stafford QLD today. Standard Wheels and looked tidy. Nicer than a Volvo anyway
  20. Makes me wonder how much they can charge while they have the monopoly. Sounds like other shops might be coming on board soon
  21. Guess it is... http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RA...cipant_id=10129 Hopefully I'm not repeating previous posts.
