  1. Yea so 33GTS must just be over that threshold i reakon. Must have been getting confused with the 32GTS or maybe the 33GTS - 2L version. I guess for the purposes of compliance there really aren't any difs between compliancing a GTS and a GTST, from what I understand of the process anyway.
  2. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...sp?StockID=2588 as posted above. The auction grade is 4 which means that the car has not been in any accidents beforehand - many imports have previous accident history. You will have to add another $2,000 for rego, tyres and stamp duty to the price he uses on his cars, similar with J-Spec. Geoff Risby http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au is who i imported mine thru and many other people on this forum will also recommend him. Another popular mob is http://www.j-spec.com.au
  3. Because it's not powerful enough! Cars have to meet a certain power to weight ratio amongst other criteria in order to qualify under SEVS. I thought that an NA33 would not make the cut but due to it being on Geoffs site, I don't think he'd have it there if it wasn't. It was a question not a statement. Pitty I can't check it out atm. EDIT: MMMKay I'm wrong R33GTS non turbo are on the list
  4. I thought that NA33's could not be complied under SEVS because they don't meet the power to weight ratio requirements? Can't check that cause the sites caput. KillaBeez that car linked to could be a good choice auction grade 4 is good for a car that old. It would be on the road and rego for less than $15,000.
  5. Looking at one with $20k on it. Has AM Turbo, SAFC, Full Apexi zorst, GTR Bonnet & Front Bar, FMIC, Cam Gears, CAI, CD Stacker, Nice wheels, Exterior very clean as is interior, 140,000 (will check if rebuilt and by whom) - could actually be a 'real' km reading! Need to get more details though - waiting for him to get back to me.
  6. Hi Guys, Whats a fair price for a 92 GTST with light mods in good nic? How much would u pay for 1? I know this varies but after a range if nothing else.
  7. Bloody ridiculuos.
  8. Ended up going thru a different mob in the end. Did notice that the compliance costs for an R33 seemed a little high, that was a year ago though.
  9. Heel toe? What's that? Can someone explain to me what double clutching is and what are the benefits, if any, of doing it?
  10. yay tis working - even on BigPond! will let this seed for a long while.
  11. Hi John, First go here and download BitSpirit v2.6 Final. The download the latest attached file. Click on "new job" at the top left corner of "Bitspirit" then browse for the file u just extracted from the attachment. Then click OK and hopefully away u go. A quick web search will reveal sites where u can DL torrents. Sometimes u have to add the .torrent extension to the file. Hopefully I've made sense and helped u?
  12. Hi Fellow Skyliners and other Nissan Freaks, 1/2 of u have probably already found it but for the other 1/2 who haven't. http://www.bodykits.com.au/
  13. Well this was a 95 model. I had it registered and inspected at QLD Transport and they didn't even open the boot so go figure... Common sense out the window.
  14. I have my doubts about dealers who import to a yard then sell to public. Bottom line dealers want to maximise profit. This means they would get the cheapest cars from Japan, give them a detail and dodgy roadworthy then sell at a premium. Theres lots of good cars for sale on this forum and other private sales. $22k is enough for a series 2, just be patient and have the car checked before u buy.
  15. They blaimed it on SEVS. When I went they had a collection of them. Stupid rules from pen pushers.

  17. My 25t was supposed to take 1 week to get customs clearance but ended up being 2 weeks due to a mistake by the import broker. I wasn't able to get into the car untill it had been cleared and was waiting outside for the compliancers tow truck. If u can get there during this window then u can grab stuff. Eg My compliancers would not let me have my space saver spare back, wish I would have grabbed it then.
  18. If u import with mods you'll have to factor in the costs of the compliancers removing and refitting mods post registration. Could be thousands for a car with lotsa mods. Keep in mind also that prestige and jspec don't factor in rego, ctp, stamp duty, sometimes tyres into their costs. Basically, adding $2k to the cost + tyres maybe $600 for decent 16 inch. Prices are coming down for local 33GTS25t's also, quite a few on carsales atm about 150 Australia wide in fact + those at dealers and on other car selling sites. Advantage is u can get compression tests and pre purchase inspections done on local cars, and importing takes 3-4 months.

  21. So do widebody 34 GTR's look like whales as well? Or is the slim 32 the only one that pulls it off without looking like a lard arse?
  22. Yea. It's not my cup of tea either. Seen it in the flesh and it just makes whales look even fatter!
  23. Ran a search but no $ found. How much does it cost given only 4 workshops in the country that can do it?
