  1. Gunmetal Grey. Clean, straight, overall Good Condition. Brisbane or South East QLD. [email protected]
  2. Have searched but haven't found much info on this? What are the differences in the engine and turbo specs?
  3. Hi Matt, Have u sold it yet? Rich
  4. Blasphemy! (spelling?)
  5. Hey, that cars nearly as ugly as a WRX. I don't understand the wrx > gtst claim. Really stock for stock they seem pretty equal in a straight line from my experience. WRX gets the jump but once the line hits 3 rd it pulls away. 4wd vs more power. In performance terms very dif cars but both similar acceleration. But, gtst wins cos it also looks full sik bro! (yuk that felt so unnatural to type that last bit)
  6. Now thats just made me curious. About how much were those Winfields running?
  7. I've left WRX in my wake in a 33gtst with full zorst and 10 psi. I've driven in and been driven in a gtr and i got a little scared. Havent felt that kind of acceleration power since being on the back of a Jap sports bike. If i wanted a car that went fast but looked like a large bug I would have bought a WRX. I wanted a car that looked great and went fast so i bought a line.
  8. Being a 'specialist' skyline forum people here can be pretty anal about prices. The car looks nice, genuine and clean. The only negative (although not one in my eyes) is the lack of modifications. I for one would love to buy the car but dont have 40k available. 33 GTR's and vspecs to boot are a specialised car for specialised buyers. Many people just won't part with $40k for a 9 year old car. I think you'll have to be patient and wait for that genuine person with 40k who wants a clean stock silver 33 vspec. Guess what Im trying to say is its a special car that will attract special buyers, that maybe few and far between. Make sure u advertise in a variety of places/media.
  9. Welcome to our world of Skylines and boost!
  10. Ok so a compression test is when they test the pressure in the 6 cylinders right. Is a leakdown test where they pour something in the engine and check for leaks
  11. Maybe would be good to take to a workshop if possible to at least identify the prob then people know what they are getting into. IE costs on fix.
  12. I spoke to this engine rebuilder the other day and he was saying stuff about a compression test will only tell u a few things about the engines health at that particular point in time. He said that cars in Japan rarely go over 80kph and that when we get them here and go 100+ that sludge inside the engine can brake off and screw the engine. I guess in that way its safer buying local cos at least u know its seen the highway and the "sludge" has reduced without causing engine probs. I call it sludge cos i dont know the correct mech term.
  13. thats a bummer. I called Brisbane Tuning and Turbo Centre. About 4k to rebuild both turbos. But if we don't know what the prob is hard to estimate cost to fix...
  14. Hey Dev, Do both turbo's need rebuilding?
  15. Is the car registered still? Is it possible to have it transported to Brisbane? Can u post some good pics?
  16. Ok so thats the plenum? What does it do? Intake for air or fuel???
  17. Can't remember of find the thread I was thinking about just vaguely remember someone talking about part of the engine that peeled when the car had a hard life. Is this the thing they're talking about? What is it? I mean just cos theres no paint on this thing does it mean its a shagged RB26DETT? Possibly my dumbest ever question but I had to ask  Soz forgot to use my crayons.
  18. Midnight racer please give me your phone number. [email protected]
  19. I think that the later post August 91 R32's are heavier. 1260 for up to then and 1320 for a type M post Aug 91. May put you out of reach of that ratio. Especially if u find some Nissan documentation to back u up. I hope urs is post aug 91 cos I would love for that to happen http://www.computeroutpost.com.au/imports/...n&model=Skyline
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=39750
  21. 5-6k Engine recon, head and bottom end, forgies, including $600 to pull out/put in engine. 2k to recond turbos, bearing/seal kits. $650 new clutch and $150 new radiator. Said to expect to pay $8-10k with all of this done... Yikes! Scary how these costs build up on top of one another.
  22. Standard freshen up. Ballpark figure would be good. Thanks Geoff.
  23. Used the search to no avail. Anybody know how much $? Maybe some info on places capable of doing this in Brisbane area. I found engine tech but they seem to specialise in dinosaur engines.
  24. Sigh if only u lived in Bris I would be able to make u a serious offer after an inspection.
