Heres a breakdown for importing 95 auction grade 4 GTST 6 months ago. FOB 7214 (car + getting on boat) PRESTIGE 1100 (Geoffs fee) TT FEE 20 (Telegraphic Transfer Fee for FOB) MACCUSTOMS 4015 (Customs agent, shipping, insurance, customs clearance) COMPLIANCE 4609 (To ADR's) REGO 488 CTP 357 17803 AUD Basically, adding $10k to the FOB cost. IE u will pay $ 28k to get that GTT on the road not including insurance (i pay $2k), alarms for some insurance companies $400 etc If shipping is included - $2k. But your $18k is prob only FOB. It adds up very fast. Still probably did better than if i bought local. + for a GTT u may pay more for compliance as not many RAWS do them yet.

I know the R34 started and the R33 ended in 98 but when did the series 1 R34 take over from the series 2. Also was their a series "1.5" hybrid like the R33?

Hi Adam, I'm fairly new myslef but one thing I have learnt is that a lot of guys seem to install a good exhaust as one of there first mods. Eg I had a turbo to tip 3 inch system with twin dump pipes off the turbo installed for $1100. Assuming u have a totally stock car this is a good place to start. Oh and a K&N hi flo panel filter also to help it breath. I have got both plus an el cheapo bleed valve @11 psi and have noticed a dif. Boosts quicker and harder than stock. THe K&N costs bout $100 and bleed about $150 fitted. From there u may progress to front mount intercooler (fmic) or some say ECU (eg. Powerfc). (Now wearing anti newbie mod advice flamesuit) :flamed:

Ya but those $20 mats keep slidin forward and that pisses me off gets under the accelerator and stuff. These mats dont move.

Imported my 33 few months ago but drivers side mat has hole where u rest ur foot while off the clutch. They are HQ mats "squiggly patterned" black and white. They have a metal badge with brand "Being Active" then "Prince Tokyo" beneath that. Also has the hole at the back for the holding thingie so it doesnt creep forward. Can anyone help me with locating a replacement in Aus? Guess importing from JPY would cost a lot plus I'd have to get whole set dammit. Shame cos rest of mats are fine. Spoke to local car upholsterer they said would have to take fibreglass caste to give me a moulded replacement = $$$.
