  3. oh, we're up to page 2! Guess it must be friday arvo pretty amazing figure on the S15 eh! droney it was, because it didn't include a resonator loud yes but I have read on here that resonators don't counteract loud nearly as much as droney. Bottomline - its worth paying extra $100 or wateva to get one installed Another thing to avoid is cannons, just get a standard high flo muffler - as long as it flows 3 inches i guess + cannons are gay. please let me know the results of your enquiries to Beedhams about there dumps Bob/Neill cos if they are good I might go there also, don't suppose I could mention your name to Bobby and get a discount?
  4. For those of you (like me) who do not know wtf a lamda sensor is: "The exhaust gas oxygen sensor (EGO or O2), or lambda sensor, is the key sensor in the engine fuel control feedback loop. The computer uses the O2 sensor's input to balance the fuel mixture, leaning the mixture when the sensor reads rich and richening the mixture when the sensor reads lean." Well... it sounds pretty important doesn't it! Oh boy seems like theres a gotcha with almost anything these days. I was dead set on a full zorst from CES including split dump. Oh Bob, I had an entire mild steel 3 inch zorst with split dump + cannon (bloody droney and loud) from Beedham for $1k. Don't know price on split alone. soz.
  5. BOSI is $395 + delivery, CES is $550 + delivery both mild steel. "Our CES Twin Dump Pipe will give great kw gains and it is a quality product. (Made here in Aust). It is designed to bolt to the front of the catalytic converter. It is painted mild steel which alone bolted on will make a gain of 22 - 24 kws !" CES Racing "split dump/front pipe and standard CAT - 164kwrw. INCREASE of 16kwrw!" BATMBL Give Trevor a call. Jack Beedham's can also do up a split dump if requested - they did one for me.
  6. I also park far away from the shops and other cars, but yea doesn't work. Another car will park next to it anyway. I think it has something to do with an inate herding instinct (safety in numbers) maybe. People seem to becoming more and more like sheep and less and less like taking responsibility. Maybe our parents think the same about our generation though. Feel for u, I would be furious. I'll make sure I take down details and leave in on victims windscreen if i ever see it happen to anybody.
  7. Yes they will c AUS roads i think. They are still a young car, just as we have seen increased demand for R34's I think we will c the same for V35 gradually, maybe compliance next year? But I wouldn't bet on it. They don't seem to be as sort after as R32-34 in the import market yet. Until that happens I don't expect RAWS to comply them. Many people (not me) don't like there Euro style shape. I could see myself possibly getting a 3.5 sedan in the future. Thier shape has grown on me slowly.
  8. 6.739 JDM S15 kg/kw 6.941 GTT kg/kw 8.435 AUS S15 kg/kw This has been done like a dinner. JDM S15 is fastest and will be faster on a mod per mod basis and has been discussed in countless threads.
  9. a stock GTT is faster than a stock S15 Aus spec a stock S15 Jap spec is faster than a stock GTT
  10. People not familiar with the auction grades should also note that any car with a grade R or R1 or RA or 0 as per the auction report has accident damage. Its likely that such a vehicle will fail compliance and need to be re-exported back to Japan or destroyed in Australia at the buyers expense. Damaged panels seem to be marked with X's on the reports. Bottom line.. only consider auction grade 3 vehicles and above if you want a good car and to minimise risks of above. Auction grades can be bogus though so its probably even more important to use a reputable exporter like Mark Hocking or Motorworld to futher minimise risks. Another good idea is to have the vehicle put on a hoist and inspected before it goes to compliance. Then damage may be properly repaired prior to RAW inspection. Apparently, Mark Hocking does this in Japan and if problems are found they can be repaired or re-auctioned in Japan. Thus, saving the buyer a lot of expense and heart ache if the car is already here. Lergo you haven't had to pay $4k for shipping/customs clearance in AUS for a dud car.
  11. 92-94 Grade 4 with < 100k can be imported under SEVS albiet stock for $25k on road. Compliance $3k + tyres, $4k + tyres if vspec.
  12. I test drove one of those new shaped toyota corollas a few months back and was pleasantly surprised with the zippy 1.8L. A roomy small car. Compared to the 2004 pulsar a much more enjoyable car to drive. Those new swifts have also had a lot of good reviews.
  13. bump for u I had a guy telling me that mine wasn't a genuine GTR cos it had RB26 written on cam cover and that real GTR's have RB25's!
  14. ps Ryan, I heartily approve of your signature pick. Is that the silver/gray with mauve tinge KV2?
  15. You're giving MINES_DATSUN a run for his money as SAU's favourite son XR6T. Congrats! Keep up the good work!
  16. talk is cheap, and u talk a lot
  17. no, doesn't really make a dif. more % of time spent on boost = more fuel used. this can be done in auto or tiptronic.
  18. Being able to control gear changes is a good compromise to me. No such problems with mine, it has never acted "stupid". Good compromise between auto and manual functions so far.

  20. ya GTT is the same, number on speedo, definately shifts down from 2nd to 1st by itself not sure about the rest of the downshifts yet.
  21. lol, i thought there was something wrong with the tranny when i couldn't change from 3rd to 4th. Even happened on the same stretch of road twice and i didn't figure it out.
  22. I give up, a lost cause. Join a skyline + 350z, whatever track day and stop making claims that are just plain dumb.
  23. After buying a K&N panel filter, and fitting a turbotech boost control, I had Mercury Motorsport fit a Whiteline Handling Pack. I am very happy with the results, my GTT handles and corners real nice now. I guess my first track day will dictate whether I continue with suspension or put a CES twin dump zorst on.
