  1. a few swans, lots of ducks and a few geese on these forums!
  2. now peak holding at 650mmhg or 12.5 psi. will dial this down to 11 or so psi peak/570mmhg. 1 mmHG = 0.0193 psi Thanks fellas!
  3. ok so controller to wastegate actuator con is ok. where the T piece is the are 2 hoses con. The top one cons to the bottom of the solenoid. The bottom T piece con connects to the turbo pipe (pipe beneath air intake pipe bout the same diam). The other pipe not con to the T piece comes from a silver pipe below and cons to the top of the solenoid. The 3 pipes are all within that black platic sheath secured by plastic tie. So with this in mind u say: 1. leave con from control to wastegate. 2. Disconect the top T piece con that goes to bottom solenoid con. 3. Connect bottom (thicker) T piece con to the controller directly (the one that goes to turbo pipe) 4. Disconnect the other pipe (from silver pipe below, not con to T piece) that goes to top of solenoid. So basically take solenoid out of equation. Is this going to cause any problems? Thanks all for your patience just want to verify before I go out and do this. LOL I'll get there one day I hope!
  4. Not sure did u check the pix on the previous page? The fact that I am getting excessive boost tells me that I must have otherwise the solenoid would still be controlling the boost and not being intercepted? Perhaps my unit is faulty according to Mark my install is ok going by pix... Oh and is 1000mmHG = almost 19psi?
  5. Still overboosting to 1000mmHG. Guess I'll have to remove it. If someone thinks they can help I'm all ears. Really don't want to install a bleed valve.
  6. Will resume testing tommorrow and post results. Have reinstalled made sure ball is in right place, spring is free and bolt screwed in enough to just start putting tension on spring. Guess it must be in the right place otherwise I wouldn't be getting 1000mmHG boost equal to 18.8 psi I think. If tommorrow doesn't work out I'll have to take it out completely cos my turbo will die pretty quick at that psi even on very brief bursts.
  7. ok mark after another test drive i wound out the bolt as much as possible. Still overboosting. Cause = end of spring stuck in thread. Pulled out spring and ball, put back in ball then spring. Another test run. Still overboosting. This time spring not stuck but ball bearing lodged in the inside of the right angle part that connects to the actuator... this supposed to happen? Is the ball bearing supposed to be able to travel up that high?
  8. yea must be that spring stuck because I originally had it fully unscrewed and it overboosted then also. Will unstick it and let u know. Thanks again Mark.
  9. This is what i did mark. Thanks for your help I appreciate it. Please let me know if its in the right spot, if so I'll try ur suggestion about the spring, if not where should it be?
  10. ok I just installed mine. made a cut between my T piece (with looks more like a Y piece on the GTT) and what I thought was the wastegate actuator (cylindrical gold thingy) as per the instructions. I must have done something wrong (wish somebody would post a pic) because I am getting boost to the top of the stock guage 1000mmHG when the allen bolt is fully screwed or fully unscrewed doesn't make a dif.... FFS! Help please... (I don't have a didge cam to take a pic either) The connection from the boost control to the wastegate is not the best. I put the clamp from the charcoal cannister on it. Could this be leaking air and causing this?
  11. ok i found my own pic now can someone please tell me where to put this? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=112
  12. just wanna take my interpretation of what is what out of the equation.
  13. can someone take a pic of it installed so that I dont *** it up on the w'end
  14. Better off being patient private selling the laser then private buying the GTSt. Make more on laser + spend less on GTSt. Could save yourself $2k or so.... for mods
  15. Think I saw that one. Think I remember a 350GT V35 in there also which beat the 32GTR? 33GTR was bout in middle. R34 won but evo and sub gave it a good workout. Maybe getting my vidz mixed up. I remember the Jap guy in the 350 saying he would be really upset if the 32 beat him but he ended up ahead i think, by the end. The 33 then 34GTR although heavier have torque, age and technology pushing them ahead.
  16. stock for stock 33 slightly faster just as 34 slightly faster than 33 in GT range
  17. yup mines on the table, hoping they stand the test of time.
  18. so long as it doesn't break and make my engine go bang bang
  19. yea I just bought one of those off ebay I hope u guys are right about them being good. at least it was cheap.
  20. posting lots of info and helping SAUers <> spaming
