Hi Guys,
Just a quick few questions. First of all sorry if i am perceived of being one of those annoying 18 year old wana-be 'fully sick' kids, its not why i want to buy a R33. My uncle in NSW owns a car yard and his trying to get rid of all his cars (closing the business). He had a 1994 Nissan Skyline R33 (turbo model) for 6 grand, whereby his going to throw in a full service check and roadworthy certificate. His also giving me an aftermarket stereo so i can doof-doof down chapel street (just reinforcing the 'hoon' stereotype...also fyi im going to train it down to VIC).
Now i know im a noob when it comes to cars but 6 grand sounds bloody awesome to me for such a good looking car.
Im a green p plater and have been for 9 months, so yes i am not experienced enough to handle such a powerful car. And im not an ignorant little s**t who doesnt bother going on the vic roads website to check to see if turbo is illegal for a p plater.
I just wanted to know:
· Can police tell instantly if the car has turbo?
· Can i somehow take off the turbo, (reluctantly) and will it then be ok to drive?
· Will anyone insure me for a normal price (people say insurance companies will either say piss off or will charge 2000+ a year)
I live in the metro area so im gonna just cruise the car. Nothing more.
