Hi QWAK...it was good to meet you at the barbie... although i agree with you, i still believe there are certain spots that are targeted more by thieves than other places...for example Dandenong is meant to be the worst area for thefts, especially around xmas time, but as you said gotto be very careful anywhere you park nowdays....

I just saw something like this in the NSW section, thought it might be a good idea for us Vics to make list of the spots you wanna avoid, post your personal expriences where you or someone you know had their skylines/cars stolen or damaged...this might help not only us Vics, but some of the interstate people whom of late have been coming to Vic for work or fun...this can also be searched later on if not made sticky and perhaps save people a lot of grief... So here i go...some of the places i avoid like the clap are Chadstone s/c(especially coles car park, most of you know why), Monash Clayton where a mates turbo Datsun 510(which i had just rebuilt ) perished never to be seen again and another mates sr20 powered bluebird got broken into... another hot spot is the Vic market which is notorious for car thefts, as well as crown car park although i must admit guilt for sometimes parking there for convinience... :Oops: oh by the way i am not sure if this was done before, if so i will make it disappear.. :ufo:

thats correct...if you go to a good dealer you will get all the back-up you need for autronic.

if you have insurance report the guys name and address and let them chase him up... a guy who hit my car while it was parked said he would pay, but when i got the quote he said he would take my car to his "mate's mate who is a really good panel beater" intead of handing me the cash.... i got my insurance to fix my car, and chase the guy instead.

you are correct in saying that autronics designer used to be partner/designer of motec until they went their separate ways... the two systems are very similar in performance and price, although autronic is slightly cheaper. If you were in melb i could give you the name of a brilliant tuner who has been with autronic since first operation, in fact he introduced autronic to europe and pro racing in aus. I would lean towards autronic for a street set up as i think its slightly better in performance at a cheaper price, and that i know of a good tuner. Regardless of which system you choose, make sure you get a bloody good tuner!

what size is the cat? the dump pipe fits a standard r33 turbo? i am assuming its stainless?

Guys/girls... I need recommendations on good Japanese restaurants in melb. as i am taking a young lass out Monday night for dinner... Something upmarket is prefered, cost is not an issue. If anyone can help i would be very happy as yellow pages isnt helping much and i have never been to a Japanese restaurant before(this would be good practice too before my trip to Osaka). I am sure some of you would be frequenting Japanese restaurants so please give me your reviews as well as address' etc.

i have spoken to these guys sometime ago and they said its cheaper to buy a new coilover than sending it to japan. as far as i know only the QLD place predator advised does them...but i may be wrong.
