    Home car wash!

sorry guys i been very busy unable to post the prices..but finally here they are! Karcher K250 $250 before group buy, numbers need be confirmed for discount price. Gerni 1450 psi, 6 m hose, 6.7 litres/min. $389, group buy $350. Nexus120 120 bar, 8 m hose, 8 litres/min. this unit features full alloy pump with stainless steel piston, italian made, $400 or $254+ GST. for group buy. Alto5050 Danish, 1600 psi, 7.5 litres/min. 7 metre hose, stainless steel piston, full alloy pump. $480, group buy $400. So far got only these prices, i been told the profit margin on these units are very small as is and was told not to expect too much discount for group buy. However if anyone can get a better deal please do so.
  3. cheers for the reply greg. i just measured my height and the exhaust is almost at the legal height limit already but the rest of the car looks like a farken four wheel drive!! i need adjustable height, coilovers are an option but i hear they are very rough, not to mention expensive.. can anyone recommend something so i can have a nice ride and adjustable height? i dont wanna have to change springs everytime i get a defect..

    Home car wash!

i have done some research today.... the problem with the cheap units is that they have plastic internals, which are prone to break downs...the more expensive ones have stainless steel pistons and full alloy pump. Also more expensive ones are induction pumps as opposed to cheap ones being vacumm type pumps. I been told the small units are nothing but glorified hair dryers... Alto seems to be a good unit, so is gerni and also got prices off a Nexus unit, which sounded very good. I have some prices and specs which i will post soon.

  7. Having just purchased 18 inch rims, i have decided to modify/lower the suspension, and was wondering... My question is, should i get new set of shocks? or stick with standard ones? (one rear is buggered so i need at least two new rear ones) What brand? How much should i budget for? As for the springs, what brand do you recommend? I wanna lower the front by 30mm, rear by 25mm. The car is driven daily, not really intended for track, so i need some comfort not just improved handling. How hard is it to change springs/shocks in an r33? I am thinking about doing the work myself. Cheers

    Home car wash!

i been thinking about getting a pressure water spray/washer as the Victorian water restrictions are still in place. I am sick of paying money for car wash every week, not to mention sick of using the brushes they have that scratch the paint work which upsets me more. I looked at a few units and the prices range from $80 to $700+, depending on brand and power output. Karcher is a good name but is kinda expensive, however i rather buy something thats gonna last a while. Or should i go cheap brand as i wont be using it as much as a professional car detailer? Anyone use these to wash their cars at home? or know about these pressure units? Whats a good brand? How much should i spend? How beefy a unit do you need to wash a car at home? Finally if there is enough interest perhaps we can arrange a group buy? Let me know your thoughts.
  9. nice kit doxximus. I happen to be related to the Zildjian family(although farken distant!) and know of the quality they offer. you have good taste in drums, and good taste in cars not to mention in choice of dogs as pets. you will get your interest back in the line soon i am sure.
  10. if you are keen on drums i wonder if you use the best cymbals money can buy...Zildjians!!
  11. well my soccer season is over, which is why i missed most of the cruises, should be able to make this one... i hope.
  12. the same thing happened to me, the idiot wasnt insured but as i had his name and address my insurance company fixed my car and chased him for the money... so if you have his details dont worry, inform your insurance.
  13. i also have a cat back stock exhaust and as SKYL9 said it means a lot to me too....i am in souteastern suburbs, where exactly are you?
  14. i bought some 18s last weekend there and they threw on some hankook silicas and told me they were good tyres....although i have no idea what they are like.
  15. i have just had a wheel alignment done at Traction Tyres in rowville. these guys do a lot of race cars and know skylines as they have done a lot of them in the past. They suggested i fit adjustable castor, which they fitted and the car steers much better and doesnt have the slight pull to the left that it did have since i bought it. having just got a set of 18's and as i am about to lower the car soon i will be going back there to fine tune the alignment.
  16. sweet as....i love the colour, wheels and the t78 enjoy.
  17. nice pics riggaP....my car is the white r33 next to the burgundy r32.
  18. member no#52... great work guys, cant wait for the events to follow.
  19. i am also looking for new wheels...i been shopping around and having a look at catalogues and have to say it is gonna be a very hard decision.
  20. oh by the way R31Nismoid, it may be a thought organising a cruise down to chaddy for some baseball, as per the interest so far.
  21. this was the exact thing that went thru my mind when i found out his car had been stolen!! I guess my young friend will learn the hard way. He had been spending money on mods while the car security was ignored.
  22. My friends white sII r33 was stolen from chaddy car park last week, was found but he has about 7 grand damage to the car. His stereo system is gone and a lot of damage done to the interior and the doors. Those farkers at chaddy are obviously targeting skylines as this is not the first time a skyline has been stolen from there. Maybe we need to do a stakeout and find the little farkers and teach them a lesson. Just a warning to those who park there.
