I just had a new battery installed so i thought i would reset the ecu... i have to say i never had a problem like flat spots or bad idle but i found that now i have more bottom end, and very suprisingly the rev limiter seems to be kicking in just past 7000, which before used to kick in around 6500!!! and it not as violent as it was before the reset...actually its quite smooth... i am wondering if anyone had similar results from an ecu reset, or anyone know why this happened.... look forward to comments.

I just had a battery installed and i think i will recommend these guys to all who need new batteries... they modified the original battery clips to fit the bigger terminals of the new battery which most places didnt even wanna look at doing... and i didnt wanna get new clips in case i wanna use a small battery again in the future.. got a Yuasa 13 plater, bigger battery clamp and an hours labour for $145... place is Battery world dandenong. hope this helps someone in the furture.   4. i was informed that in Victoria its not illegal to drive with fog lights...but it will be soon.. anyone can confirm this??

  8. you can also try springvale radiators, and i had an exhaust place in braeside (sorry cant remember the name) do some welding for me for an intcooler, similar to what you want done, some years ago....

  12. well my childhood fantasy of building an EFI turbo Datsun 510 was finally lived a day before i got off my P's when i was 21...power was around 170HP(standard boost no cooler) to 960kg.'s and 3 days after i had it on the road and 2 days after i got off my P's i was pulled over by the Police who literally freaked out when i popped my bonnet..."What's...what's all this???"(dumbfounded cop pointing to the turbo plumbing and the chunky EFI inlet manifold) they told me that the car's power to weight ratio was too much for the road, but when i convinced them it was legal(engineers cert) they then proceeded to tell me it was too much for a P plater... after realising i had just gotten off my P's they fined me $165 and gave me my first canary...ahhhhh....memories..

  18. i know a bit about the L20 engine but not the L20ET... On the other hand i know a lot about the Z20ET, have rebuilt a few of these.... what do u wanna know and can u get me a pic of this engine so i will see if i can recognize it or compare it to the Z series or N/A L series engines.. Cheers
  19. some brake globes are tinted...kinda like window tint... check yours to see if they are these type and get clear ones and you should be good.
