  1. 1st question...not sure. 2nd question...my car also does same k's as yours on a full tank and it is normal. 3rd question...i have 225/50 on the stock rims and are allright, 235 might also be ok.
  2. yeah i thought about doing that also...but i wanna be able to use the stock muffler if needed in the future...
  3. yeah i was gonna use grease but couldnt find it in the garage...all i found was some Mobil one but i didnt want to make a mess with it dribbling all over the place... i will see if i can find some vaseline in the bathroom and lube up!! strutto; muscles arent too bad mate
  4. hmmm on mine only one rubber mount is bolted to the car, which i undid, but the two other hooks are welded to the car...these two are giving me the hassle...
  5. I am trying to take the standard muffler off and install my HKS item back on but having a lot of trouble with the rubber mounts(three of the buggers) that the muffler is attached to the body with at the rear of the car. As easy as it sounds i cant get the farkers off!!! I have tried levering them off, used various sizes of screwdrivers and even yanked on them but to no avail. If anyone has a trick or knows how to get them off please do tell!! I can take pics if needed. Cheers.
  6. i would love to see the overall cost of this Nizpro car...Simon is good but $$$$?????
  7. drivers A pillar sold??
  8. well i hate brake dust...so i guess ultimates are out..RB74's sound good though..
  9. it is designed to give more torque at lower revs as most turbo engines have lower compression and have relatively retarded ignition timing to compensate for the turbo boost, thus reducing lag. therefore it should come in early in the rev range and cut out around when the turbo kicks in.
  10. i imagine you are talking about the HKS foam pod filters.... well you can wash them, and re-oil and use them again, and also you can buy just the foam for about $60 from auto shops, i am buying one this weekend... i am gonna wash the old one and keep it for the next replacement.
  11. yeah i think i wont bother with the stock pads... thanks Dave. Anyone in melbourne know where i can get these pads??
  12. dunno if this is of any help, but i am using 7inch wide wheels with 225/50 on the Datsun with no problems at all....i am also running 225/50 on the R33 stock wheels (6.5???) at the rear, not much overhang and very happy with them.
  13. thanks for the reply BHDave, it is very useful. the car is only for street use. Bendix ultimates you mention are $100? and RB74s are $150? they seem cheap as i was quoted $135 for stockies...
  14. Hello all; My front brake pads are worn and need replacing, and my discs have sign of some wear so i guess need to machine them also. Well my question is what kind of brake pads should i get? Nissan stock ones, or aftermarket ones? What do guys use and how much should i expect to spend? I rang nissan today and was told that stock ones are $135, also was told that they are same as 200sx ones...is this so? if someone can give any ideas on what i should get, considering car is street only, and how much i should expect to spend, and where i can get them (melbourne) i would be very grateful. Thanks
