  2. riggaP very curious as to what mods you have to get those times...
  3. nice pix! cars look hot! any chance of posting some of the times?
  4. it is possible to have it fixed, that is fill up the burn hole with similar colour material but still looks ugly. i would suggest looking for a second hand bench or have it retrimmed.
  5. guys if the aim is to build a GTS-t to beat a GTR, why not spend the money on more important things like aftermarket management system, along with a big enough turbo to provide the horsepower required. Match it with a good FMIC, high flow exhaust and air filter, and if the standard internals can handle the power gain you will have reached your goal, but more importantly you will have potential for more power gains with a strong rebuild in the future. Unfortunately this will cost you more than $2000, but then again i would love to see a well tuned twin turbo set up on a GTS for $2000. Sure 'twin turbo' sounds sweet, but cost and hassle aint worth it, and your goal of beating a GTR can be achieved with a single setup. Horsepower requires money, especially if you like reliability and drivability.
  6. thanks for the replies guys... Enrico I was after the famous Skyline GTR R33 which broke the lap record at Nurburgring, or any other hot laps by skylines at the ring. NIZR34GTT Thanks for the offer and i may take you up on it, but can you tell me where i can source the lap record video? Again thanks heaps for the replies.

  12. shows how badly these WRX drivers want a skyline seriously though this is very concerning and hope none of us have this experience
  13. genuine SSS ??? wow... never even seen one in the flesh considering i have been involved with 1600's for many years...you are right that only 5 are supposedly in australia...and it is a 2 door...mmmmmmmm is it the fast back type? although i am not interested(i have a 1600) in buying would love to see it. Anyway good luck with the sale, if genuine this is a rare car indeed!!

  15. ahhhhh you gotto love seeing a new romance blossom...
  16. well i bought mine about 6 years ago, cannot remember how much exactly but i do remember it being cheap...around $30 i think. But there are more expensive kits that will last longer.(i only used mine twice and its still like new mind you) It involves drilling in to the broken stud and screwing the tool bit into it, which has a reverse thread, so that you are actually screwing it anticlockwise and is tapered (similar to a tapping tool if you used one to tap a thread before). The tapered tool bit bites in to the stud and as you keep turning anticlock it brings the stud out. Try shops that sell tools or nuts/bolts, or car parts such as repco.
  17. yep take it off.
  18. did u search the for sale sections of these forums?
  19. you can buy broken stud fix kits, which arent too costly, but a little fiddly...
  20. a faulty oxygen sensor will be noticed on the dyno, but as you mentioned powerfc may be the cause of your fuel consumption, and i am sure can be rectified on a dyno....
  21. DJ oxygen sensors if not functioning properly can cause excessive fuel consumption.. i am not jesus but just a thought
  22. i get about 450k with some stick, driving off boost about 550k. on the other hand if i give it a lot of stick about 350k.
  23. coming up to 2 years, insurance very very cheap, car is very reliable, will sell it when i decide to upgrade to GTR...
