ext is for the exhaust, int for the intake cam. they are used to retard or advance the cam timings.... if i am not mistaken only need exhaust wheel and need it retarded by a 2 to 4 degrees...but depends on your set up of course may need both....

could also be an AFM related problem....

inark i have a cat back HKS system, but recently replaced the rear canon with the standard muffler, i.e had an 's' pipe made to fit the standard muffler to the 3 1/2 inch HKS pipe and the results were amazing....took it from 100+ db to 84 db ...... so the rear muffler determines the loudness is my point.

well i see about 6 skylines every morning on the way to work without fail...

yes it will make the noise in neutral, if you press the clutch it will disappear..... i am afraid it is rather costly, so as i said if it isnt too loud dont worry, but if you insist get your gearbox rebuilt, i guess it will cost $2000 or more.

Car : Datsun 1600 (P510) Colour: White Year: 1970 Engine: Nissan Z18 EFI Turbo TO3, vl turbo exhaust housing(AR 0.63), intercooler, variable psi, custom exhaust, 5 speed. 225/50 rubbers with alloys. It is engineered and road legal. It is suprisingly quick but then again since it only weighs 950 kg. and the engine hp of around 250 certainly makes it zippy. It custom interior, roll cage, sports s/wheel and more bits. Have had it for 10 years, still hooked on the handling and performance and its charm! The suspension is from skyline, as the brakes and the diff. Well there are loads more mods but i dont wanna bore anyone. But the car is a lot of fun, unfortunately these days doesnt see much daylight as the r33 has become the daily drive since its acquisition 2 years ago.

well i am sure you will document some of the test results in your website along the way, which would help in the decision making when comparing and choosing the products you will be promoting....

problem no :1 sounds like the gearbox input shaft bearing...unless it is very loud it is ok and will last for a long time dont worry....it is common with skylines.

Rezz; Super idea concentrating on the so called 'no name brands' as opposed to the big names...i have a feeling the prices will be very tempting. i bought my r33 almost 2 years ago with 55k on the clock, now its almost 95k.....thankfully nothing has gone wrong except that in the first week i bought it, first the left hand side head light blew, a few days later the right hand side.... apart from that everything is clockwork. i am currently planning a timing belt/water pump etc change as i am approaching 100k.

i was a bit corcerned reviving this old thread but looks like i didnt pisss anyone off.. well i do use a force feed momo wheel, i do have all the patches and add on tracks including sandown, but my fav tracks remain monza and rouen... i also play on the net....maybe we should get together for a few races.. :burnout:
