  1. ron i wouldnt use them on the intercooler pipes... you however you can use aluminium insulation wrap that air-condition/refrigeration joints use to wrap pipes to keep cool.

  4. i love the pc games grand prix legends, red baron 2...
  5. got mine today.....very nice!! thanks to all concerned!!
  6. glazing the bore happens when engine rpm remains constant for long periods of time, idling for example... what happens is that the cylinder bore will wear out or get polished(hence the term glazed) between the distance the piston is travelling for long periods at a rev range up and down the bore. Due to the wear by glazing, above and below this distance the bore will be smaller making a shoulder, and when revs increase, the piston travel will also increase, the shoulder on the bore will destroy the piston rings prematurely... this is especially common when running in re-co engines ...thats why you shouldnt drive at constant speed/rev with a reco engine until you have done a few hundred k's...and never idle for long periods....
  7. oil starts circulating immediately when the engine starts....although very briefly(seconds) you get no/low oil pressure after starting...thats when the damage occurs and no matter how long you warm the engine, this will happen every time you start your engine....why do think taxi's get such long engine life??? coz they rarely stop their engine during their shifts... secondly there is waste of fuel if you let your car sit there for ten minutes to warm up everyday particularly because the engine will warm up quicker if you are driving it in that ten minutes.....not only will you waste time(precious for some of us) also waste fuel because of the longer standing warm up period and as the engine runs richer during warm up , it will emit more unburnt fuel to the atmoshere which is bad for the environment... so not only you are wasting your time and money, but also you are exhausting the fuel supplies and adding to the pollution..
  8. the only way to get rid of rust is to cut it out completely..... Demon Dave...R33 GTS-T bonnets are aluminium???
  9. yeah every two years sound right...
  10. its a waste of time and fuel to warm cars up before driving.....u just have to take it easy , i.e dont load the engine or drive at high revs until oil temp is at operating temp, which is about 30 mins into driving... then you can let loose...
  11. how much for the 6 1/2 inches?? will they fit r33 GTSt rear parcel shelf? have they ever been used? Cheers

  15. i am sorry to hear/see this mate.....i was hit from behind last year(although not too bad) and i know how much it hurts... i just wanted to say stay away from a Clayton panel beaters whom i dont wanna name here but will do in pm if you need...bastards drove me crazy when i trusted my car to them.... anyway glad you are ok and that the damage is not too bad... good luck with the repairs.
  16. how bad is the damage you wanna repair?? Usually if you patch up fiberglass spoilers you will lose strength and damage will reappear quickly(personal experience)....it is best to get a new bar, but if you insist on repairing it, one option is to take it to a fiberglass repairer....i know of a couple of workshops who custom designed a spoiler kit for my datsun, they will look after you... if you wanna fix it yourself, go to paintmobile in dandenong and they will give you whats necessary to fix your bar...
  17. not often enough...

  20. well the factory oil pressure gauges/sensors are very dodgy...they are not very accurate or consistent... but its better if you get the oil pressure tested to be safe, or even instal an aftermarket oil gauge...
  21. car looks very nice indeed...
