  1. yeah car looks pretty clean pete, glad your happy with job, nothing worse than someone saying they can do it but just dont understand products/paint,and how to detail anything. would have liked to see a before shot as your car looks like it has never seen the sun etc Used to do the same quality back when i had my car groomers franchise, these days when i can and get time, i go see my mate and grab some of the products, but settle for megs on regular basis cause can buy it at most places. If people looking at getting detailing done, best bet is to get someone you know to do it but if got no contacts, look into the company qouting the job and ask for photos, ask what they do,and dont go for these every six mths polish deals, anyone in the business knows that a proper polish with paint protection will last 12mths and longer before needing a touch up, i used to detail lambos, porches, bms etc of all colours and never found under 12mths had a need to do again, unless asked for as a regular thing. have heaps photos of cars we did to show the quality of the work i and mate used to do and can still do will try and post up when get time. the only thing i miss which i need to borrow from mate is his one of kind swirl remover polisher, its awesome
  2. very very sad for all involved. Whether its inexperienced driving or hoon drivers impressing there friends, how many more of these do we want to hear about before people slow down in metro areas. yes we own fast cars and yes some people want to drive fast, but please guys/girls take it to a place where you cant hurt others. the problem is that there are more than one side that has to suffer from accidents, death affects everyone even those that hear about others missfortunes My condolenses to all friends/family involved in this sad time

  7. sorry if i got your nickers in a not,was just saying that instead of starting a thread asking for different comments it could have been posted in the other thread about getting to know sau members,my brother has a turbo getz with over 200kw so im used to little cars, wasnt saying i didnt like your car, just think that threads should really be about what the site is set up for, otherwise we just get a whole bunch of waste of time threads, and we wont get any new members that have things to offer, just my opinion on the matter bro no hard feelings

  16. Just take it easy pete, slowly is always the key,you know bikes are like woman, like roo said mark up with tape etc,use smallest blade possible and just go slow,it wont heat up that much then, need a hand let me know
  17. Cheers for the heads up,havent dealt with them b4,got few mods so just want be covered, have to look into it a bit then, sgic make you work for it,then it may just be the way they all are
  18. Apart from this rubbish with paint,i have been thinking of changing to just car as cheeper and cover all mods, sgic told me where to go to do fix, does anyone else have coverage with them, where else,or is it better to stay.
  19. sounds better to stay away bro, been out giving a wipe over etc, found its even got dirt specks in paint,as if wasnt bad enough aaaahh
  20. Yeah thats what i reckon, going to ring sgic and take in for inspection, dont reckon the crash shop has it in them to do a better job, seem less than standard in their attitude,so gonna see what sgic say,but gonna get fixed for sure,i think when they ordered paint they ordered standard 33 colour, but mines been sprayed before, its lighter. What a f"""""""""""cken hassle. How is hard is it to do a proper job these days,no wonder its so hard to find good places to go.
  21. Had some w"nk reverse into my 33 bout 3ks ago, started the insurance roundabout with sgic, had inspection, told to take to certain crash shop on hanson rd to get fixed,so took it in and picked up this afternoon when told was ready. Upon inspection noticed that the damage looked to be fixed and painted, but the paint colour of the paint was not matched well and even painted the wrong colour. So i let the crash shop aware of the difference, and they tell me that the paint is just fresh and will fade. Havent let sgic know yet but has anyone else had this type of problem with a shops fix up or insurance problems in fixing this f"ck up. What rights and how far can a go with it, ideas?
  22. i lost my t/spool sound the other week, while playing with my vacuum lines,i swapped some around and found what ever i did it made my bov sound louder, but lost my spool sound, after changing over,it came back,so i found out that a change in the pressure can do wonders. Didnt notice change in power, turb still spooled over, not sure what damage etc in long run could have done, but it works how its supposed to so thats all im worried bout now
  23. Anyone happen to see what happened to that guy racing in his ferrari, someone seemed to think when they have money their ammune to the law,ha ha ha sucker. I mean im not one to love the law and the b"llsh"t reasons they come up with to pull us over, but come on anyone driving a car worth that much doing that sh"t in the suburbs in asking for trouble. What are peoples thoughts on the laws locking up the cars and do you reckon they need to adopt the laws like in other states, cause if they did his car would be block of steel already.
  24. from regency area with grinder if you really get stuck
  25. any mod is a defectable area, although ive heard that as long as your intercooler is behind your bumper and doesnt protrude it is accepted by regency,as long as you only trim the bumper and dont cut any support rails etc. it works for my bumper and ive been ok with it,coppers look but leave me alone, may be the grey hair ha ha
