  1. Can I change my username to; dirtyRS4 Thanx!
  2. I've heard that the rear becomes a problem, due to the S1 stagea footbrake being linked with the rears. You will also have to equate new braided lines into the deal. Also, I have heard issues with low brake pedal position etc.
  3. I actually do have another one for sale. That was a "hiro" copy and this is a "dolphin" style one. Pm me if you are interested mate.
  4. These are good and affordable everyday jap pads available at VisionR in Perth. They have more types to choose from (Brembos etc), depending on your needs. ACRE SUPER FIGHTER are designed for street use with sports driving in mind, with good response for cold start and its beautiful control ability, it is perfect for most street driving weekend warriors. This pad has its all best balance with minimal brake dust, can be use on normal daily and sports vehicle driving. This is what we call the Super Street model, and it is also Acre's new design based on their street pad technology. Super Fighter brake pads are rated 0-450 deg applicable rotor temperature and friction coefficient of 0.35-0.45μ http://www.visionr.com.au/ Ask for Wade, he'll look after you.
  5. I have a series 1 dolphin copy grille up for grabs. It is sonic silver with mesh and a few scratches, but generally in good condition. I located a S1 n/a grille, so dont need it any more. Im after $200ono. Pm if you are interested.
  6. Yeah, Pedal footbrake thingy. For series 1s & 2s auto and tiptronic. F@#rkn hate it!
  7. When my mate got his 100k service they had the cover off to replace plugs, seals, belts etc. The incompetent f*#ckers looked around the workshop this morning but couldn't find it and then put up the argument it wasn't there. Makes me laugh, because from research and what people have told me it is a part which is needed for a series 1 because these are built in with the series 2. The bracket and whole black box isn't there. It looks like they bypassed the module and have joined two connectors across the cover. One of the modules support brackets and screw is still attached to the cover. It is evidence of it originally being there. I reckon they were in a rush and forgot to put it back on and then lost it. The wiring loom setup looks different as well. The car always starts rough but then runs fine at idle and on the road. Would this cause any long term damage? Still the question remains-should he go and replace the igniter module or upgrade to a better direct ignition system? It seems a lot of people do this, especially close to the 100k service mark. RB coil packs seem to be trouble, causing loss of spark and misfire. http://www.nengun.com/splitfire/super-dire...ignition-system The reason I ask is I might look at doing this soon. Anyhow this is the wiring which seems to bypass the whole module-is this ok?
  8. I second that. The japs and their chimes! What is the best way to get rid of it? Also, WTF with the hydraulic hand brake?
  9. This is what is missing. And is a R33 S1. The car starts rough but still runs fine. But they have done some extra wiring between, I will post a picture. I suppose a Splitfire super direct ignition system would be of benefit (upgraded coilpacks and module), but he has been quoted $120 from a wrecker replacement and $215 (genuine) new from; http://wolfems.cart.net.au/cat/31938.html Any input would be appreciated.
  10. Yeah you are right mines a late 96 and he has a series 1 and should have one. The reason I ask is when I looked at it after he got it back from a service it looked like it was missing. There is still part of the support bracket on the module that is just hanging there! Dodgy! I told him to get back to the mechanics and get it fitted back on properly, maybe somewhere else. The car seems fine. Would this have done damage in the long run?
  11. Found this, it explained a fair bit. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ig...ule-t13496.html My mate has a late series 2 skyline and his motor has the holes at the back of the cover where the module is suppose to be.(with brackets etc) he has the wires setup differently going across aswell. My 97 stagea has the unit and Im sure it has a S2 motor in it. It doesnt seem to be doing much. What happens if it was removed? Is this ok. Should he go looking for a replacement?
  12. Thanks. So what exactly does it do? Im looking at a motor that doesn't have this, is this bad. Sorry for the stupid questions. How much to replace? etc..
  13. Hi, Can someone please tell me what this circled part is on a RB25DET engine? Thanks.
  14. This is nice. Tommy Kaira edition S1. I wonder if they did a S2. http://www.roadrecord.co.uk/buying-used/Ni...ion/id-0aUGDkEq Check out the electronic dash, Ive seen these on R34s as well. Good price too!
  15. Found this picture the other day..question answered. So I bought one at half the price of a S1 momo. The GTT s/wheel is a direct fit and feels alot more sporty and comfortable. Note, it is the same s/wheel as a R34 GTR without the factory emblem.
  16. Yeah, I just tried to fit a stainless JJR Bellmouth dump/front pipe and high flow cat from JustJap and there were fitment problems. The top flange had to be remachined flat and I would recommend quality new nissan factory gaskets for leaks. They said that these might be R33 items after being told they were stagea specific. They had the same rattling problem next to the gearbox/crossmember and tried to bend it to fit better, but the stainless steel was too strong. The HKS silent zorst went on without an issue as good quality products do. I would probably opt for a hks or tomei dump of better quality with a seperate front pipe. I had to keep the existing factory dump and buy a slightly molested Trust front pipe to get back on the road. Should have been a very simple thing, annoying on a small budget.
  17. Hi All, Just wanting to know if this will fit and will the airbag be operable? I am really tired of the bus like S1 wheel. A S1 Momo factory wheel would have been good, but pricey! Also what is the best way to make payment to the seller and get it sent to WA? Any information would help. Thanks.
  18. Hey all, I gotta say a big mention to terminal, leetom and XMetal for their cars. These stageas truly inspired me to buy mine. Tough looking, and not too overstated. I'll post up some updated pics of mine when i get my new parts on. Cheers!
  19. Hey fellas, Just picked up a series one stag from a dude off this forum, got it pretty cheap. Have been in some pretty scarey cars but this is my first import and dont know too much about em. Any way here it is a S1 97 Stagea RSfour Dayz Edition 93 000kms, stock as a rock. Seems very clean and have had it for about 2 months or so, I have some big plans for it in the future..
