yeah, mine does that too, when i turn left and`start turning the wheel straight i hear a clunk just one . but it doesnt keep doing it. it happens once in a while.

Hey guyz, I am hearing this noise from near the gearbox area. When i release the clutch i hear a whining(SHHHHHHH) kind of noise, not too loud but loud enough to hear it. and when i press it in its very quite i cant even here the engine lol. Is it normal? I took my car for a major service coz i just bought it recently. they changed all oils in DIF, GEARBOX, and ..... the noise has always been there, even before servicing. I asked the guyz who did my service(James @ auto workshop W.A) he sed its normal. I just wanna know if you guyz hear the noise too?

I got my skyline a few weeks back. and more than 5 people in just 3 days sed its a nice car at random places. including old ladies lol And there was this chic who was asking me how i can afford a skyline when i work at a supermarket lol hahaha

Thanx Mr Fanny. yeah not gonna do it all the time. the battery is fine now. it just drained out coz i left the lights on. Bout the rear wheel drive jump start question. lol. i am a newbie at this so i thought i might break somethin like the propeller shaft lol. hahaha dont know why i thought that. lol

ok maybe it was a dumb question. anyways i pushed the car onto the road and some guyz came and helped jump start it

is it safe to jump start rear wheel drive ? i havent done it before on skyline so not sure. its manual. i left the headlights on so it drained the battery.

Yeah bro your right but i am a complete Newbie at this stuff. Never done any of it before and coz of the problems with starting the car and stuff i have no option but take the service. maybe i shouuld take up some kind of classes that teach this stuff.

i have no idea what oil its using, is it something to do with the oil? i just bought the car a few weeks ago. i hope its nothin major. And i have booked for a service at an import workshop for next week and they said they change/use the following: ‘MOTUL 4100 TURBOLIGHT’ SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL, GENERIC FILTERS, DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID, CASTROL VMX-80 GEAR OIL, CASTROL LSX-90 REAR AXLE OIL. CASTROL TQ TRANSFER CASE OIL, STD NGK SPARK PLUGS are these good? all that for $538 thanx guyz

i dont know if its normal but my car takes a few seconds to start and when it starts the oil light remains on for about 4seconds. and the engine idles rough for the 4 seconds. sometimes its less than 4 seconds. 2 to 4seconds. after the 2 - 4 seconds the oil pressure gauge goes up and the engine idles properly. the car runs smoothe and works fine until i switch off and switch on again. takes a few secs to switch on, oil light shows for a few secs after engine turns on and idles rough. then back to normal again..... Some one help? is this normal?

My R33 takes a few seconds before the engine starts. can some one help? i dont know much bout this stuff/

just checked the the link given by centrel coast. and looks like the only non - turbos that come with LSD from factory are the E-ECR33 frame ones. i dont know if everyone has that one. Mine says E-ECR33 on the plate inside the bonnet. Which makes it a GTS TYPE S. i dont know if thats a good thing, since am a newbie to Skyline. just got mine a few days ago.
