  1. plugs prob wouldnt make a HUGE difference just thought it could help burn away most of the gunk that was getting stuck to the old ones.
  2. Yeah thats what i thought 20w-50 and maybe up a heat range in the plugs.
  3. No doesnt blow any smoke smell oily or leave any oil stains anywhere. engine bay is fairly clean too.
  4. Girlfiends little mirage is using heaps of oil? normally holds around 3.3ltrs but the last 2 services ive done on it ive only taken out about 1.5ltrs?? A coulpe of times ive had to give it a massive top up because the engine light has come on. Took the plugs out on the weekend and they where all fouled with burnt oil and gunk. i service it every 5000km started with 10w-40 oil but moved up to 15w-40 becuase of the oil loss. Car has done around 170000kms Any ideas on why this keeps happerning any help would be great Thanks.
  5. RB20 was always the way i wanted to go plus there was always the legal poo. just seemed every one had no faith in the RB20 and the 30 was the best thing in the world
  6. Money is no real issue i would rather wait and have the money to do things right either it be RB20 or 30 rather then just diving in. Most the work could be done ourselves mate owns his own workshop and knows his way around performance engines.
  7. Just looking for some advice on which direction to head in. If i want it i could have a RB30 bottom end with turbo pistons for pretty much nothing, every one ive spoken too keeps telling me to do the RB30 swap and have X amount of power and be happy as larry. OR Keep the RB20 and go for my goal of 200kw with supporting mods with the likes of a high-flowed r33 or r34 turbo. Car is a 93 GTST with 3inc turbo back exhuast FMIC spiltfire coilpacks. Want to use the car as a good street car that can handle its self at the track and teach me how to drive. any advice would be appreciated.
  8. Hey guys put new DBA slotted rotors and bendix ct pads front and rear about 1 month ago. Did my first track day on the weekend and under heavy braking i was getting really bad shutter? Tryed seaching but couldn't come up with anything. Any ideas? thanks.
  9. Oh ok might take it to my mechanic and see what he can do. Just noticed after 5 min of driving it goes away and then when you come to a complete stop it comes back? could it have anything to do with the petrol/octain booster i was running today was just the nulon stuff?
  10. Yeah there is a sensore stuck in behind the new cat. Yeah its the light with the pic of the little zorst with the heat lines coming off it.
  11. Hey all completed my first track day today and on the last lap my exhaust temp/gas light came on. I pulled into the pits thinking i was going a little to hard in the hot weather and let it cool down for a good 45mins. When i went to go home the light was still on and is still on now. Any ideas to what could be causing my problem? only mods are a 3inch turboback zorst with a highflow cat. thanks.
  12. Im looking at getting coilovers for my 32gtst ive had my eyes on some Tein SS but stumbeled across the Koni coilovers. Just wondering if any one had had any experience with the Koni's and if there any good and what not. Thanks.
  13. Hey guys new to SAU and have just brought a 93 r32 gtst with 121xxx km's which is stock standard. Im wanting to do oil changes for engine, gearbox and diff. After reading the post think i've decided on motul 300v but still not 100% sure for the engine but have no idea on gearbox or diff oils? also how much oil does engine, gearbox and diff hold? Prices and avalibilty isn't a problem as i work at the local repco store but would rather take advise from you guys/girls because repco only know holden/ford best lol. thanks.
