Headin down for a run. Round two of the Hillclimb Series so I kinda have to. Lookin forward to seeing if things are any quicker than last year after all the mods.
-
These still for sale. Cash here waiting. Pm mobile number to tee up if possible.

Is the bov a universal fit or does it have the flange to fit where the factory bov fits?

Once again, start saying people cant turn up cause they drive the wrong brand of car and our askin for it to fail from the start. Some of the best cruises I have been on have been multi club, free for all events. Anybody remember that huge one that started at Bathurst street car park and ended up in Bridport for a bbq and beach cricket? Think that was way back in the days when Platinum were still around in force. Just extend the invite to all and dont restrict who can come along and a great day will unfold...
-
You didn't turn up simply because you hadn't washed your car?? :s Its not a show and shine, its a meet and greet... Doesn't matter what you turn up in, just turn up! If your worried about busy car parks and the like then why not organise to meet up somewhere that's not in town?? Surely there are plenty of places around Launnie that would be suitable. Why does it have to be a car park in town??

Was keen to come through but unfortunately prepping for a Club Day next weekend takes precedence over a social outing... Sorry guys & gals. Maybe next time, hopefully with a cruise or something as well??

1994 R32 GTR 16x,xxxklms Performance Mods: GT 2860R -5's Tomei Expreme Dumps Fujitsubo Front Pipes (about 2.75in) 3 inch Decat Fujitsubo Exhaust (about 3.5in) ViPec ECU Tuned by Andy Kuc at Pro Automotive in Hobart Pushed out 270rwkw @ 17psi on normal Premium Unleaded Fuel (95ron) Still running standard airbox with airflow meters still in place but not plugged in due to internal MAP sensor in ECU. Standard Fuel pump, injectors, rail etc. Still utilising the standard boost control solenoid which surprised us by holding a rock solid 17psi all the way to redline. Engine has other mods but nothing that will alter the kw it pushes out, just make it more reliable. This was all done to be as safe as possible so I can drive this car to work every day, take the kids to school etc and still get out and have a go on the track & at the hillclimbes of a weekend. Simply drop in some Ultimate (98ron) as a precaution and away we go.

I was keen for this till I read these comments... Sounds all to "elitist" for me. Everybody complains they cant get these sorts of things off the ground and then you wanna go and limit who can turn up... Good luck with it, I'll stick to heading off for a drive by myself, when I want and where I want without fear of being in the wrong car, taking the wrong road, talking to the wrong person, or wearing the wrong jumper or basically doing anything that may not be approved of by the so called organisers.

How are you going to do that when your suposed to be at Symmons for the Club Day???
-
Was keen to have a run after seeing the hill the other week. Too many events coming up in the very near future though and most of them part of different series and championships. Maybe next year.
-
Did I see you in Hobart town over the weekend?? I was down there for most of the weekend cruisin about.

Good luck with the 'flexible' bit. What you have to realise is that if they get caught they loose thier licence to inspect cars and its friggen hard to get it back again. As such, you may think they are being picky but they are only doing what is legally required of them.

Took me all of 30mins that night in the garage where it wasnt wet and f*kn muddy. That really pissed me off. At least if I had broke something I wouldnt have been able to fix it, but being just a hose come off and not being able to put it back on and as such missing out on the best part of the day....
-
All sounds very dodgy to me... I would never buy a car that didnt come with papers... Especially an interstate car. :s

Mine is mounted behind the drivers seat in the footwell. Put some nutserts through the panel below the rear seat cushion and mounted it there. That way if people sit in the back its behind their feet anyway but still easily accessible if ever needed. Just gotta be careful where the holes are drilled as there are a lot of looms running up and over in the same spot. Will try and get a picture of it later tonight and post up.

Thats probably because they are basically the same thing.

I got the compliance cat that came off my GTR when I imported it. Make an offer, only done about 1000klms.

From what I can gather, Andy was his usual self and didn't really say much. He did say that the software was pretty much just another version of the same old stuff. He did have issues and had to use my laptop instead of his own as there is a very specific sequence that must be followed when installing everything for the first time. If its not done correctly then the wrong USB drivers are installed and the laptop wont connect to the ECU and they are very difficult to uninstall. Jump on the ViPec website and check out the features for yourself. That and the support offered through the ViPec forums was enough to convince me to go that way.

The gods were unkind. Mine blew a cooler hose off and seeing the pits were a mud bath I wasn't climbing around underneath to put it back on. Had to watch myself drop from 2nd outright to 12th by the end of the day when the track had dried out and everybody got about 4 - 5 seconds faster. Jamie took out fastest time of the day. Impressing times early on in the wet and then even more so later as the track partially dried so there were mixed conditions on the way up the hill.
-
Stock 26 with -5's, Tomei Expreme Dumps, Zorst, ViPec ECU, tuned on Premium (not Ultimate) and running a mere 17psi... Safe, conservative and more than a handful in the wet... Figures??? Its the times that do the talking. You can have 4 gazillion killerwasps but if you cant put them to good use then they are worthless Unfortunately I blew a hose or something today at the Hillclimb and lost 90% of my killerwasps and couldn't get a run in when the hill finally dried out. Had to sit in the pits and watch while I slipped from 2nd outright all the way to 12th as everybody got good clean runs in on the drying track...
-
Yeah well... I wouldn't say that anymore either Spent Tuesday on the dyno It ummm... Does a skid now
-
Spent a day with Andy. Took Jamie for a run that night & I think its fair to say he was impressed. Few last minute things to do and we are all set to go.
-
and that footage shows exactly why I couldn't be bothered with Power Cruise. Get out there on a proper track day with only 4 or so cars and full use of the track... Much more fun if you ask me And yes I am friends with the guy whos car the footage is taken from and also the guy in the "Fking RED Holden" as well.

Should be free most night next week after about 6pm. Dont think I have anything planned at this stage for Sunday either... :s Not sure on that one though. Shoot us through a PM with your mobile number and we will tee something up.

I heard of a 33 GTR that was tuned there last week, same turbos as mine, put out 460rwkw atw on 24psi. There is another 33 GTR getting round Hobart as well apparently that put out 440rwkw, think hat was tuned at the same place also. Thats enough to convince me...
