So it was only making the noise while the car was moving?? Didnt matter if the clutch was in or out?? The noise changed as the speed got greater or less?? The noise stopped when you stopped moving?? Sounds like you may have picked up some crap in your tyres or possibly got something caught in the driveshaft that has since parted company with your vehicle if the noise is no longer present. this is a great trick in the workshops... Wack a rubber band around the tailshaft with a nut on it. As the speed increases the nut flies further from the tailshaft tilll it eventually start "tapping" against stuff. When ya stop and look under the rubber band has contracted and you cant see it on the tailshaft.

Coincidence maybe but a whole group of us are actually planning a round Tassie, three day cruise, on the Australia day long weekend. 1030klms in three days. Don't sound like much??? Come try it!!! Mate its like trying to get a replacement plate for a brand new FG Falcon or VE Commodore. Try asking for a replacement plate for your genuine A9X Hatch thats plates were destroyed when it was acid dipped during restoration?? You cant get replacement plates for any vehicle.

Pardon my ignorance here and please correct me if I am wrong but... Didnt the V-SpecII come factory with Brembo Brakes?? I thought they also had 17 inch wheels as well to go over said brakes. Which leads to the question, if they came from factory with those brakes and 17 inch wheels then why are they fitting standard GTR wheels and brakes for compliance. That all seems a bit irish to me. Unless I am wrong and your car did in fact come out with 16 inch wheels and standard GTR brakes, in which case I wanna know what so damn special about the V-SpecII Model??
