true... i see shit loads of imprezas on the road.. and i drive around alot.... they are nothing special.. i think the OP should have got his answer by now... 4cyl 2.0L single turbo vs 6cyl 2.6L twin turbo id pick the gtr .. its got more power...looks better... and u dont have to like it in the bum to own one.

wow... i had a similar experience.... i didnt have any immediate problems in the beginning, took it to a mechanic, said they cant see anything wrong. couple of weeks down the track, i got bad rattling sounds plus a whole lotta other things at aruond 2k. took it to a couple of mechanics, 3 to be exact. 2 of them said it mite be the turbo mite be busted and the vibrations are just coz of the turbo fins hitting the side of the housing and its reverberating through the engine.. lolz spent a whole lotta time changing turbo and wat not and then skip a couple of week, my engine blows. block blown open cabin filled with thick black smoke..oil, coolant and stuff all over the road. turns out that one of the con rods were bent outta shape and was hitting the side of the block.. awsome experience, gave me a chance to yell out "its gonna blow!!!" and dive for cover. something i thought id never had to do.

wow, i'm read so many of these over the past few weeks. hope the car is found safe and sound, and the cops catch these crooks. heard they released a new number plate recognition system. best of luck! keep us updated.

lol i give up trying to prove to people that it is not okay to have ur car driven around by strangers. come to think of it koree, there arnt any 80zones in the area, that i know of anyways. why on earth would they run the car on a hoist up to 80ks for some panel and paint?

but fact remains that the car was driven. it was not supposed to be driven at all apart from moving it into the workshop and parking blah blah like brendan said. under law the workshop is to get permision from the owner of the car to drive it. none of that happened. i completly disagree with you on this brad. there is no justification for using a customer's car for reasons other than diagnosis. (which was not needed in my case as it was just a bit of panel work). from a legal standpoint this incident can be reported as theft. a respectable workshop would not have done what these guys did(and probably still do when a nice car comes in). i hope this sort of behaviour is not happening at other workshops too........

it was them that said "if i wish to file a complaint, i am to confront the business via writing, if they dont respond or we cant reach an agreement, i can fill out the complaint form they sent out. then they will investigate the case". there is nothing that i want from them. thats why i said i am not goin to go down that path.

to see if what they did was right or wrong.. to see if this was acceptable.

well they sent out an info pack with some paperwork for me to fillout and return if i was to go ahead and file a complaint. they said if my claims were valid and they denied involvement even thought evidence proves otherwise, they would be in breach of some act (cant recall name). as for the pictures, their authenticity needs to be verified. Basically, if i wish to file a complaint, i am to confront the business via writing, if they dont respond or we cant reach an agreement, i can fill out the complaint form they sent out. then they will investigate the case.
