How The Fk Does This Happen!?!?! Help!
chus13 replied to harks's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Have your tried using a clay bar? Clutching at straws I know, but it might get some of it out. They would have camera's at the car wash I would think. Its definitely worth getting back in touch with them. If it has happened to you it would have happened to others seeing as you rarely see someone chamois their car after washing at most car washes. I feel for you dude, the paint looks immaculate in that other picture. Hopefully you can get it sorted out. -

Dude thats f**ked! Sorry I can't help at all, but if it has eaten through the clear coat there is nothing that you can do. Have you rang them up/gone back there? -

Buyin Car From Eastern States To Wa
chus13 replied to AMR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I bought my GTR from Canberra when I was living in Vic and didn't transfer reg until i got over here. I think I paid $1300 for it to get over here by truck, which is obviously a bit more expensive than it is by train (roughly $800) but at least it wasn't going to get taken off or driven until it got to the depot over here. I'm still in the process of getting it registered as I haven't managed to find solid work since moving here, but PITS inspections are similar to any of the other states. With the exception that coil overs, pods, etc. only require a permit and don't have to be engineered. If I had my time again I would have waited and bought from over here. It's cost me over $2500 to this point and I still haven't got it registered. So if you find something you like over here and not have to worry about the logistics etc. then that is what I would do. Just my 2c. -
Just part it out yourself man. You'll make a couple of K and be able to buy yourself something nicer than an excel, maybe even another 33.

$5000 for a 25de? But yes $1250 for a new engine fitted is the way to go. Either that or part it out yourself and get a nicer car than an excel.

Nooby Trolley Jack And Stands Questions
chus13 replied to bucket_boy101's topic in General Maintenance
Yeah but they put a premium on them on eBay. Some people are trying to get $500 for them. I will wait until March when they are supposed to get more in. If that fails I'll buy one off eBay -
Martini has been confirmed as Williams naming sponsor. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112504 I can't wait to see the livery. There is some awesome fan art coming out of it.

Just found this as I was perusing the web. Thought it would be very interesting to get peoples takes on the matter. "The European Union is secretly developing a "remote stopping" device that would be fitted to all cars and allow police to disable vehicles at the flick of a switch. Confidential documents from a committee of senior EU police officers, who meet in secret, set out the plan as part of wider law enforcement surveillance and tracking measures. "The project will work on a technological solution that can be a 'build in standard' for all cars that enter the European market," said the document." http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-news/secret-plan-to-fit-remote-stopping-devices-to-cars-20140130-31nxw.html?utm_source=outbrain&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=outbrain_amplify

Side Indicators And 3Rd Stop Light
chus13 replied to chus13's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Thanks for the replies guys. It has had quarter panel indicators installed previously as there is holes drilled there. Its just a matter of getting another set. Its just frustrating getting told incorrect information the first time and wasting money on inspections and permits when I didn't have to. I'm going to call the DOT and have a yarn and see what information I can get out of them. I just found this http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2006L01433 It looks like I don't have a leg to stand on. -
I went through the PITS yesterday and the inspector told me that I need to fit indicators in my quarter panel as well as a 3rd stop light either at the top of my rear window, or attach one to the spoiler. I had the vehicle inspected in November last year as well and the inspector that I had that time said that if there isn't indicators there, I didn't need them and the same for a 3rd rear stop light. Ive tried finding the relevant info in the ADR's but I'm struggling. I also noted that I don't think I have ever seen a 3rd stop light on a R32 nor the side indicators. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

I think they are all sold out at the moment. When I went there just after the new year they were out of stock and said that they weren't getting more until March. I went to the one in Docklands though. If they are there can someone PM me? -

I'm in the market for a one man brake bleeder at the moment and was wondering what peoples thoughts and experiences are with them. I'm specifically looking at the kincrome ones at the moment, but I am open to any other suggestions. They seem like they are worth the extra money over your normal style of bleeder. Thoughts?

I can't wait. I will be very disappointed if Red Bull continue their domination again next year though. It might just kill F1 for me, unless it is Ricciardo that is doing the winning.

Haha. I lost my shit at Webber binning it on the podium, also Alonso and to a lesser extent Vettel gave him a decent champagne bukkake as well lol. I'm going to miss Webber and the V8's next year. I dont believe that the V6 turbos will give the same aural satisfaction, but, I still can't wait until next season. Only 4 months to go now
