My GT8 came with the Infinity badges on the outside, just ads more confusion for the people that don't know what they are looking at! -

V35 Skyline English Workshop Manual
pv35gt8 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
C'mon all V35 owners!!! I am shocked that only 34 people have displayed interest in this manual, for all the little questions people have would it not be easier to look it up in a proper workshop manual than to throw the question out there and receive guestimations as your response? The chit chat about what people are doing to their rides is great but when posed with particular problems, the best answer will come out of the manual! -
Yes the Stillen was a bit of a fight to line up, but we got it there in the end. The lovely note it produces was worth the effort

There are plenty of kits out there on the market, both Jap & US kits will do. I will be fitting the Stillen gen 2 true dual system to my car tomorrow. Best option would be to spend the money and get your zorst from a recognised manufacturer as they have spent the time and money to R&D a proper system. If you go get a custom done here at your local pipe bender, you will more than likely end up with a drone.

I am starting to notice signs of wear on both front and back tyres. I am also running on Nismo suspension for a 350Z, which would equate to the current wear. After I fitted the suspension I took it to my local tyre dealer and had it aligned, all 4 wheels, and with the rears they added a bit more toe to try and even out the wear. The end result is that I will still need to go and get a full set of adjustable arms to take out the copious amounts of camber that the suspension kit put in.

Fs: Plenum Spacer, Panel Filter, Pod Filter
pv35gt8 replied to Kam-80's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
What size is the plenum spacer (how thick)? -
The graph you are refering to would be the history, on the green leaf page there is two buttons, the one that is highlighted at the bottom when you go to that page will take you to the history page, the other button, when you push up on the joystick, is the reset button for the green leaf page. So if you reset every time you fill up, you can collect consumption records per tank, not just an average over a couple of tanks if you choose not to reset.

Your best bet might be that the rotors are slightly warped, get it in to your mechanic/brake specialist and see if they can be machined or a new set of rotors.

Ticking Sound When Accelarating From A Stop
pv35gt8 replied to win4ever's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I also have that 'tick' noise in my gt8, more noticeable when in man. mode and driving with haste, usually get the noise when I am braking firmly and down shifting usually dropping into second or first, then another tick when I accelerate hard. I will give this clean and lube option a go. -
I believe that the answer you are looking for is in the engine designation prefix, i.e. VQ35DE - non rev-up and VQ35HR being the rev-up version, HR standing for high rev. p.s. This is only a theory of mine, so if I'm wrong can someone please correct me.

I have removed mine and you dont need to remove the grill from the bar, just remove all fasteners that hold the grill and bar to the car,. This is the same for my mates M35 Stag.

Front Parking Lights Removal
pv35gt8 replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
High beam is your standard run of the mill H4 globe 55/60w The parker/marker globe is I belive the standard T10 wedge globe. If you but a nice set of Phillips globes from say Autobahn, you will get the H4's and the parker globes to suit in one neat little package. -
Front Parking Lights Removal
pv35gt8 replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Good luck with your quest. The project is quite simple, just time consuming as you will see when you do the job yourself, just take your time and all will be good. I will be upgrading my exhaust at the start of next month, extractors and Stillen true dual cat back sytem, will post pics and handy info when done. -
Front Parking Lights Removal
pv35gt8 replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The access is that good as it is the inner guard that restricts you from doing anything from the top. As for the clips I believe that there is one or two phillips head screws securing the inner guard to the front bar and the rest should be the little press clips, small flat blade to pop them out and Nissan do stock them, just be gentle when removing, once done you can access the back of the headlamp with ease. This is a pic of my left hand side displaying my beautiful Nismo US spec cold air induction and you can see at the top is the back of the headlamp assy. -
Front Parking Lights Removal
pv35gt8 replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Unfortunately there are only 2 ways of doing it, pull the headlamp out or remove the wheel and inner guard, I chose the latter to reinstate my HID's and change the high beam globes and parkers. -
Haven't really taken any notice about the gaer when i switch to man mode, but I have heard that the five speed box will always go to third, I have 2 mates with M35 stag's and they both go straight to third. As for changing when stopped it doesn't pose any probs for the box, I would assume that Nissan would have plastered stickers all over and there would have been a note in the manual.

Anyone Knows Where 2 Get V35's Angel Eyes Headlight?
pv35gt8 replied to vcool's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
If you are willing to seperate your own lights to fit them, go for it, just watch out for buying from the US as their cut-line is different, right rising. -
The 350gt/gt8 has the same suspension as the 350 coupe, as the spring rates are the same. I have the GT8 and have fitted a full Nismo set from a 350z, the spring rates are slightly different to the Skyline spec items, .1 kg different front and rear, the ride is still good but the handling is much improved, reduced body roll.

The rattle crank noise you are hearing is probably the starter, the spur gear not withdrawing from the ring gear in a timely fashion, hence the noise, mine does it and I'm not concerned. For the other noise you are hearing I have no , could possibaly be as simple as a l stone caught in your tread, but I would get it checked out to be sure.

Helped Needed With My New Ride....
pv35gt8 replied to win4ever's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Just to inform you guys, the english conversion doesn't affect the spoken words as I have had mine converted and have recently had a couple of warnings and she still talks in Japanese. Also on the DVD drive I also thought that I didn't get the map disk as when I tried to eject nothing happened, until I tried inserting another disk and it would not accept it, then I tried the eject button again and out popped a map disk, must have got jammed in the mechanism during transport, and trying to put another disk in dislodged it, would be interesting too see how many people have the disk without realising.
