turns out it is only a problem when the fuel guage goes below half... it will seem to drop down slowly to the light then come back on... still not sure wat to do about this... and how to fix it lol

couldn't agree more! and a much quicker way of doing it, instead of having your car off the road all the time to have work done to it...

try transdirect.com mayb... online quotes they seem cheap and u can choose wat part of the day pick up is...

yer i found some threads on the boost guage and do have a soldering iron around but havent gotten around to doin that as im pretty used to it, its fine but for now its the fuel guage that id like to fix first. any chance you could shed some light on how id go about doin that scotty..? as i really have no idea...

yer that sounds similar to mine it only played up once it was below halfway... possibly it could have fixed itself? or possibly it could do damage? mayb i shoudl just have a look tomorrow, my boost guage is playing up to my guages arnt being very friendly lol

saying all that driving around later today i think it may have stopped..... is there a chance it may have fixed itself? cheers

phil how annoying is it haha. nah it wasnt around anywhere hilly i was parked on flat ground over night so im fairly sure thats not it but thanks for the idea.. thanks damien, is it obvious that something is displaced =S also its not goin to do any harm the way it is atm is it? as i have exams coming up next week and would prefer to not be messing around with my car until the end of next wk.. thanks

hey guys, i have an r34 GTT, nismo aftermarket 300km dash cluster. this morning got in my car and the fuel guage had dropped from 1/2 to a 1/4 overnight... i had only done about 250km. so started it up and then on my way home and it dropped down another 1/4 about over the next 10 mins and the light came on... then went back up to a 1/4 tank... =S any1 able to shed some light on this as i have no idea? tried searching for some answers but didnt find anything... car did stutter when it hit boost i think last week but i had very low fuel at the time... dunno if this is at all related... any answers would be great thanks...

this happened to me on my r34 gtt aswell.. when they were changing my exhaust to a full turbo back he discovered it. do u have bad fuel economy atm? i got told it wouldnt do the turbo much good if i left it like it for too long and it have abd fuel economy. i had it fixed straight away as the exhaust was already coming off...

id like to have it all but thats not how it works i guess haha. if i had to choose one id choose drift.. meaning the car is probablly set up well how it is... looking again under the front wheel arch there is a small gap that i may be able to shove the cables up into...

JRM - eyebrow height of the car is approximatly 325mm all around... i found a thread with gtrgeoff saying that 355mm at the front and 345mm at the rear so you were right on the money with that. just curious is there optimal heights for drift? Hank Scorpio - tyre wise, it used to also do it with my other set of 18's with 235/40/18's.. so ive got my doubts if 225/40R18s wil make much difference... Joeyjoejoejunior - i cable tied them up a little while ago i dont think i can make the cables any higher.. i cant push them up in the wheel arch anymore i dont think haha Hekt1k - yes they are pretty big, came of a gtr so it makes sense. but same thign it used to do it with my old 18's with 235/40/18 so i need a bigger solution.. got another questions for ya's. obviously the back tyres need to have fair amounts of grip as they are pushing the car.. but do the fronts need to be that sticky? i have never had my car understeer if anything it will oversteer so do the front tyres need to be that good? would 235's or even 225 make any difference to handling of the fronts compared to the giants there atm cheers

yer i've been thinkn the same thing... i was looking at photos of other r34's and its too low isnt it... i think im just used to it so i dont notice... i brought it in december and have never changed it. i think thats a good idea jrm how do you measure the height is it from the center of the wheel to where? also can any1 confirm what height is best for handling?

hey guys ive got an r34 gtt, with black gtr rims (18x9 +30 i think they are) and Falken tyres 255/40/18 all round. the front wheels can scrub at times on the plastic guard when close to full lock, which isnt to bad... The REAL problem is the tyre hitting the cables at the top of the right hand guard. It happens at times when travelling at about 100km/h over bumps on highways... There in a hard plastic shell but im worried about it wearing through... 1. Do any of u guys have this problem? what would you do? 2. I was thinkn of switching to austyre 235/40/18 what do you guys think of these tyres? OR heighten or stiffen my suspension, OR both... any input would be great... thanks
