Great write up mate. Spent my Sunday morning reading thru it. Was wondering if you have done any brake ducting (how and pics?) and where you got the passenger side head light carbon duct from?

As title says installing a s1 rb25det into my r32. Using the rb20 loom as I already had an ems stinger ecu wired in. Questions: the brown plug on the iac valve, can I just push the rb20 plug into the rb25iac valve? Not sure if I read once someone had swap the 2 wires over? Can I use the throttle postion sensor on the rb25 throttle body or do I need to swap it with the tps from the rb20? They both look the same. Plug fits on.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
tiels32 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Try Lewis Engines for an extended, winged, baffled sump. And he'll weld however many more fittings you want onto the sump. Only cost $420 plus extra for each fitting you got welded to the sump. -
using stock r32 cat i cut off flanges either end and i managed to get a 3" pipe thru it before welding 3" flanges back on. Works a treat

I'm running a 2540 on my rb20. Running 16psi and making 220rwkw. Tried running 18psi but it was pinging. Even though im using a ems computer my tuner told me he wasn't able to tune out the pinging. It comes all in at about 4100rpm but i think that feels pretty laggy. Anyways nearly got the s1 rb25 ready to drop in. Will be trying the 2540 on the rb25.

Are there any disadvantages to running a 80mm throttle body on a greddy manifold on a rb25 if your "only" making about 250rwkws?

Hi guys. As the title says i'm putting a series 1 rb25 into my r32 gts-t. At present i already have a EMS stinger 4 wired in running my rb20. At this stage i'm thinking its easiest to stick with my current loom and swap any sensors i can off my rb20 and put them on the rb25. i'm guessing this isn't possible with anything (aac valve?) which i would need to get wired up separately. I'm using my top feed injectors as i got a top feed fuel rail with greddy copy inlet manifold. I did get a engine loom connected to the rb25 when i got it but as it came out of an r31 ( It was running no prob in the 31) its messy with bits hanging out here and there and i dont know if anything important has been disconnected. Whats people thoughts: is it worth using the rb25 engine loom and getting that wired into my car and the EMS? i see someone on here selling a rb25 s1 engine loom that is suppose to be a straight plug in to a 32. not sure if it would be worth buying that but then i would need to get that wired into my EMS. Just thinking you could be buying someone elses problems and the money better spent wiring up what i got. Can anyone recommend someone in adelaide that really knows these conversions (wiring side). So far i've been getting my tuning done at boostn oz and so far i don't have any complaints. Also just wondering about wiring in the 25 box. My mate and i doing all the mechancial side of things just not sure about the wiring. Any thoughts are appreciated i just want to do it the simplest way.

As title says i've got an r32 gts-t with a gtr front bar. I've been out to a couple of track days and am looking at getting into more. I'm would love to set up some air ducting for the front brakes. I wanna attach a bracket or collector of sorts behind the slots either side the lower lip of the front bar (something to attach some hosing to that will collect the air from the front). I've never seen anything like this for sale. Guessing something should be available being 32 gtrs pretty common track toys. I was thinking of just making some myself but was just wondering if these are available? Cheers

hey mate.... i'm interested in the injector loom without the injectors. Is it in good condition, plastic connectors not to brittle? Would you accept $30 posted to sa 5126. -
yeah i've been thinking about the 2540. I've got it on my rb20 atm. 220rwkw but i'm definetely sick of the lag. Love the way it comes on but only happens at about 4100rpm. Upgrading to rb25 shortly so cheap options just to bolt on the 2540 and i'm half curious to see just how it goes on 25. But i have thought of getting a 3071 or 3076. Would a 3071 be more responsive than the 2540? I didn't realise 2540's had such a bad name for themselves before i got it.

I'm looking at buying some 256 tomei cams for my series 1 rb25det. I've found some for $909 delivered. Is this a good price? Anyone know of anywhere cheaper? Can u buy them over the counter anywhere in Adelaide? On a second note my engine builder said i should try 256 inlet cam with a the next size up exhaust cam say like a 264. I gonna be running a 2540 turbo so i not aiming for huge power but apparently running slightly bigger exhaust cam helps earlier spool up. I believe to if i go bigger than the 256 cams i would have to fit heavier valve springs, is this true? I appreciate any input

Just looking at buying a aftermarket oil pressure guage to put on my rb25. I can see its got a sender unit which looks very similar to the standard oil pressure sender on the motor. Options: screw fittings including tee piece so i can run both senders and still have the standard guage workn but alot of stuff hanging around the oil filter or remove standard sender and screw in new one, neater but standard guage in dash wont work (i imagine red warning light for low oil pressure wounld stay on to). Anyone got any suggestions. How have other people installed oil pressure guage senders?

Hi Mark, I'm after your package #2 deal. Set of ADR approved braided lines and K500 pads front and rear. I've got a 32GTS-t with standard rear brakes but i got R33 brakes for the front which i'm looking at fitting soon. I'm not sure but guessing R32 and R33 brake lines the same length/fittings? Cheers
