Hey guys. Just an update. At the moment I'm looking at DBA slotted rotors, braided lines and some Bendix Ultimate or Lucas pads. Will be getting it all priced up over the weekend and hopefully get it all purchased and installed in the next two weeks.

Hey guys. Haven't posted here for aaaages. Was a while without net and then a while without my license, so this was just a tease, lol. Back on the road now and slowly getting on top of my finances so looking to maybe get some stuff done to the Stagea again. So I think its about time I replaced the brake pads. For starters I think it's been about 25,000kms of typically fairly aggressive driving since the brakes have been touched. Secondly I'm now having a very quiet scraping noise coming from my front left wheel when I brake, which I believe would be due to very worn pads. Now I've been pointed in the direction of Lucas for brake pads as apparently they're very good value for money. Good performance and a good price tag. If I was to go down this path, I was wondering if anyone would have part numbers to suit my '99 S2 RS4-S?? Also, while replacing the pads, I thought, if affordable, it might be worth upgrading the rotors. I don't need/want anything extreme, but having something a bit better than stock to back up the 180 odd kilowatts at the wheels (which is a figure that will only get higher) would be reassuring. I looked at Brembos in the past and they are way out of my budget. Was just wondering if anyone knows of some good rotors for a good price that would be a nice, modest upgrade for my beast? (part numbers would be very helpful with any suggestions if possible - Thanks) Thanks everyone P.S. I had a brief squizz through the brakes thread, but shit... It is a massive pain to read through even a quarter of it when I can only view one post at a time!!

Tyre Pressures, And The Argument I Had With A Mate
Unbalanced replied to Oddy man's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My local Bob Jane recommends 34psi all round. And my ex tire fitter mate recommends 38psi all round. If I'm road tripping I'll generally up it a bit more to 40-42psi or so. -
Another update. Price dropped. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...5&silo=1011

Fs: '99 Nissan Stagea Rs4s

Ad updated: Carsales.com - '99 Nissan Stagea RS4S List of mods I can think of right now: - FMIC with custom piping - Bosch 023 Fuel pump - 3" straight-through exhaust (gives a very nice rumble, but can be driven very quietly when required) - 3" dump pipe - Nistune board (was tuned prior to the dump pipe, so with another tune could probably see even more kw at the wheels) - Custom steel front lip - BC coilovers (Spring rates: Front= 8.0kgs -- Back= 6.0kgs) - Rear swaybar - 18x9 wheels with +30 offset (decent tyres all round) - 1" bolt on spacers front and back - 6mm slip on spacers on rear - Pod filter - Stock BOV removed (gives a nice, yet modest, flutter) - Turbo timer - Bleed valve - 40000k xenons -

It spent a day on the beach last summer. What of it? The undercarriage copped a good hose down immediately afterwards. Was a sweet vehicle for the beach actually. Had the beats cranking, the deck chairs set up, esky in the back. Loved it! Had quite a few people approach me and ask about it too Those poor sheltered creatures at Wallaroo had never seen one before. Haha.

Working on getting a list of all mods done. Will post it here and on the ad in the next couple of days. Nistune board = yes

Well, its sad day for us all... Well, mainly me. But still. I'm sure you'll all share my depression. lol. I've decided to sell The Stag. The $12k loan I've still got hanging over my head is really hindering me financially since I'm just about to move into a new place. So I need to sell The Stag, pay off my loan and downgrade my ride a little. I've advertised for $24k, which I know people will think is a bit steep for an RS4S, but fact of the matter is, I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it, so I'm happy to wait around for a buyer, and with all the mods I've done do it, I think its worth at least $20k. As a bit of a consolation prize however, I do plan to get a series 7 RX7 as my new ride Will definitely miss The Stag though. Well, here's the link if you want to have a gander: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...amp;distance=25

Test Drivers Getting Fines On My Behalf!
Unbalanced replied to Unbalanced's topic in South Australia
Mine charged a flat rate of $1500, then extra $750(ish) per court visit plus travel time, fuel costs for him to get there and back. If the case went to trial, which was the next step had I continued to contest, the rate goes up to $1000 per court visit. The $7k mark came around pretty quick At least he got me the best possible result for a guilty plea which he thought to be unlikely seeing as we'd "wasted the courts time" with the contesting. -

Definitely getting anybody who drives my car to hand me their license so I can take down all details and then I will be accompanying them. Definitely lesson learnt! -

Thanks for all the feedback people. Kell, your situation sounds f**kin' terrible! As for "get a solicitor" comments. Blah blah blah... Easier said than done. That shit is expensive! I wasted $7k trying to contest a matter a while ago and in the end after all the money spent I ended up pleading guilty purely due to the fact that I could no longer afford to continue contesting it. Aaaanyways, Being a "mummy's boy" has paid off and mum's going to take them for me. lol Seeing as she currently has a clean slate as far as demerit points, it won't hurt her too much. I just hate it how; a) f**khead people driving my car would be so disrespectful... I guess I'm too trusting. A weakness. b) my mum now suffers for the actions of aforementioned f**kheads c) Once again, the truth is not enough. I've dealt with police too many times where the truth has not prevailed. In this instance, its not the police's fault, but still, it shits me. ... Rant done. Lol. Thanks everyone. -

I don't have either of the guys number because they called me. The most recent one called from a private number (oh how I hate them... Now even more than what I did before) and the first one was over 2 weeks ago so his number is no longer in the call history of my phone. ... I really am screwed ay! -
Test Drivers Getting Fines On My Behalf!
Unbalanced replied to Unbalanced's topic in South Australia
As much as I agree with you all and I do truly think I'm screwed... Shouldn't it be up to them to "beyond any doubt" prove my guilt, not for me to prove my innocence? -
I thought it was stupid and I think the guy is an idiot. But I still found it thoroughly entertaining! haha. I also think the cop could've dealt with the situation MUCH more effectively. Take a rego number (which she had more than enough time to do), position her car to block the road, do something more offensive and constructive that jsut turn on her flashing lights etc.

Test Drivers Getting Fines On My Behalf!
Unbalanced replied to Unbalanced's topic in South Australia
Poor judgment of character on my behalf, combine with thats just how I've always done it and always had it done with me when buying/selling a car I did not know that, crazy! lol Hence why I'm worried Yeah, I guess all I can do is fill out the forms and see what comes of it... I just thought there might be some kind of evidence I could possible use to prove I wasn't driving at the time??? I don't know.... *sigh* -
So I've got my car advertised in a few places, just seeing what sort of figure I can get for it. I've had 3 people test drive it so far and 2 of them have gotten fines!! I usually do the whole "give me keys to your car and your wallet" while they go and drive my vehicle for 5-10 mins. In hindsight, a very foolish thing to do. But regardless, I've filled out the declerations and will be chasing up a JP to sign them in the next couple of days. All I know about the people that drove my car is their first names. I don't know where they're from, what their surnames are, what they do for a living. Nothing. The problem is, i don't have the best driving record and I'm worried they're just going to think I'm making shit up and I'll get in trouble anyway. Which would be a massive problem as I'm on a prohibited license at the moment and though its my "full license", I only have one demerit point. If I was to cop more points due to the stupid actions of idiots driving my car I would devastated and it would mean (at least) 12 months loss of license (i think). What can I do? Or, what should I do? Anything?? I just don't know!

Sorry I bailed also. I didn't get home from the night before until 8am, so I would've been over the limit to be driving
