Unbalanced

I'm reading through this and I'm hearing both sides of the argument. I drive a pretty defectable Stagea (non obvious mods) and it shits me to tears when a cop tails me and ends up pulling me over. Most of the time, I'm pleasant, they ask the usual questions, claim its an RBT and then head off. As much as they have targeted me over the stupid Falcon or Commodore that just drove passed me doing 10kms over the limit, but on the other side of the fence, I (pretend to) treat them with respect and be nice and they don't give me too much gruff. In saying that, I have absolutely no respect for police after two of them on a boring Easter night decided to lie and say they saw me driving drunk, when in fact I was simply sitting in my car drunk, with absolutely no intention to drive (and before the questions come, no, the keys weren't in the ignition, the lights weren't on etc and yes, I did try and contest it but 2 cops with their story all worked out didn't leave lil ole me with much hope). So, in summary, as much as I hate being targeted by police. They usually aren't too much of a prick if you don't give them a reason and to be honest, as others have said, the Skyline stereotype does seem to apply to most Skylines I see boosting around.

Suspension mainly, but also a side view mirror from an S2 stag didn't have the some clip formation on the backside of the mirror. Lol. I'm quite sure there's more but not that I can think of right now.

And I'm assuming the fact that mines an RS4-S factory manual, same suspension as RS260 etc doesn't change what brakes are applicable?? I just ask because of other the many other parts that would fit an auto S2 not fitting my car.

So R33 GTR wouldn't fit? R34 GTT is the way to go huh??

Cool. Might see how I go hunting down some R32 GTS-T brakes then... Then some good sports pads and a bit of a brakes service (new good quality fluid) and I should be set to rock out this baby on the track! Would've liked to be pushing a few more KWs at the wheels, but she still goes hard

Hey guys. I'm up to my last upgrade before I take the beast on the track - Brakes! Was just wondering what people have done to theirs and what's easiest, most effective, cheapest etc. I've been told by a few to just get some good pads and that will be plenty good enough, but I'm not one to do things in half measure, so I was planning on perhaps getting Brembos of an RS260 or something along those lines?? Anyways, look forward to hearing your advice. Thanks.

Wheels are 9 inches wide and +30 offset Only just put the front spacers on and have taken the ride for a burn yet, so I'm not sure.

I also just finally lowered my RS4-S - Went to BC Coilovers in the end (I also have 1inch bolt-on spacers front and back) BEFORE AFTER

Oh, and I definitely think all bikes should be registered. For example, I was pulled over on my bike by a cop for running a red light (i was midway across the intersection when it turned green) - Anyways, dont wanna cause a flame debate on whether what i did was right/wrong dangerous/fine etc. So yeah, he pulls me over, tells me not to do it and says "this is an official warning" - He didn't look at ID, he didn't even ask my name. So next time I get an "official warning" theres absolutely no record of the first and I can keep doing it to my hearts content until i get an anal cop and get actually fined and learn my lesson. lol I think bikes should be registered just like any other road vehicle and should be required to follow the rules just like any other road vehicle and policed just like any other road vehicle. Ramble complete. lol.

I ride my bike to work quite often 15kms-ish from Newton to Mile End and back again. I think it'd be ridiculous to lower speed limits that significantly! It would only create more congestion, which, believe it or not is a hassle for bike riders as well. lol

Update - Stagea is coming along nicely. Coilovers in. Body kit repaired and fitted. Front and rear equipped with 1inch spacers. Pics:

Just a quick note... Started her up and took her for a quick spin around the block. Still runs strong! Wheel bearings seem to have fixed themselves, lol. Well, at least, they're not making noises anymore anyway. Another thing regrettably however... The indicators are a bit touchy. If you just click them on, they don't work, but if you hold the stick half way up/down then they work fine... Maybe just dodgy old wiring. Not sure.

Just an update. I'm going to try and get my Stag looking super sexy for the event. So I'm going to have to make some phone calls and see what I can arrange. But if I can't get it sorted Shaun (Evil34), your car is looking like a pretty decent candidate. Another thing is the pickup location is most likely changed to Norton Summit.

I started it about a month and half ago to move it and it seemed to be running fine. Needed a jump start, but meh. It has just under 220,000kms on the clock.

I was driving my Stagea around with half a body kit and a left indicator hanging out of the shell for over 2 months and didn't encounter any problems. I'm sure some nice blue/white lights won't do me over too hard. ... Well, I hope.

As I posted above. Not really. Thats just the nicest thing I could think of at the time, lol. If you have something else which is just as sexy, lemme know and I'll definitely consider it.
