Thought as much. So I need the head unit brackets at the very least so as to have a nice clean fit of a new double-din screen. I may need to knock up something under the heater to screw it all into as well. Thanks for the help by the by, you wouldn't happen to have any pics of the complete head unit bracket? all I've seen so far are the top part of the bracket that screw into either side of the unit. nothing for a double-din application though.

during the year, take all the loose change you get whenever you buy things, and put them in a jar. When it comes time to pay for rego/inusurance, knock that jar over and start counting. I usually end up with around $800 at least, by mid year, in change.

apart from the stereo that's missing ( ), I need help identifying what shit is missing so I know what to actually buy. Pic 1 is the mess that my car has been ever since I bought it (2001!) and was too lazy to do anything about it Pic 2 is how it currently sits. Ignore the boost gauge, once I get an ashtray, I'm cutting a whole in it to fit it n nice and snug like. The plastic has been painted while I was bored at work and clear coated so it's all shiney and sparkly. Pic 3 explinationg 1 = Clip from plastic having nothing to clip into What's missing? 2 = Holes to screw something into which I don't have, or know what I am missing, what could it be? Pic 4 explination 1 = Holes to secure plastic cover around stereo/vents/etc 2 = Holes to secure plastic cover around gear stick/ashtray 3 = wtf? same holes as in Pic 3 which I don't have anything to go into it. Giant Circle ? = area for clip from plastic in Pic 3, something cut out? not too much of a problem, still all secure anyways. Pic 5 = Sparkly. I am going to be putting some sort of double-din screen doohicky in the gaping hole there, and just want to know if I need to have some standard parts (like the stereo brackets that screw under the aircon controls), it's just those other parts I'm not sure if I need or not. The SAFC has been thrown into the glove box until I can work out a way to secure it properly somewhere. Any help at all would be very much appreciated

Well just read quickly about it, apparently coming in July. Can't find a price on it yet either. I wonder if I should wait it out for a month with no stereo before deciding what to buy. The pics do look nice though.

actually, I just put it on tonight to test (interior is ripped apart), and the medium gromet works perfectly, didnt use a hose or anything else. I have the short, fat, heavy gun metal knob as well, and it goes on perfect. Trel, yes I is karadoxx, who are you?

funny, i bought one yesterday. Bloke told me to put a piece of garden hose in the bottom of the knob and yeah, should be fine

I have the same problem, currently going to replace my old (from 2001) head unit, and get someone to rip out my amp and rewire everything properly. my mech got his auto elec to check it out and yes, it was the stereo/amp that was draining new batteries after a week.

i was heading back to work with lunch for the office, i turn right onto cooper st from high st with an unmarked behind me, i indicate right to turn into the work driveway and he flashes me. so i pull over left, some questions, where am i going, and i point out that i was about to turn back into work (i think he thought that i was trying to ditch him), so he lets me go into work and finishes his paper work. i got fined $160 for car too low (that roller thing he had jjjuuuusssttt touched the exhaust), and no points cos i think he felt sorry for me that i was almost safe lol.

so yeah, i just saw a vid of a guy from another forum taking and eating his own shit for $1000
