    i think by gutting he is refering to just having a straight through pipe with the cat casing on the outside to keep it looking leagal i think u should go the 3" pipe, i always like doing something properly from the start unless its way out of reach. if u have to pay that little bit extra then do it otherwise u will pay for a 2.5, then want a 3" and so your paying more than u originally would of
