  1. Open up your loom from the ignitor to the coils, and check them, maybe they got water damaged as well and werent sparking. yeh thats hwat im doing but im just wondering how to test the coils and everything ells
  2. hey everyone.. ive got a bit of a smiler problem but 10 times worse to the point that its not drivable about 3 days ago had my car parked outside a mates house.. and it was hell stormy weather.. anywayz i went to start the car it started then stalled.. so then i tried again this time it stayed on. but then as i went to drive off it stalled again. i noticed that every time i pressed the accelerator heaps of black smoke came out the exhaust which i know means its running rich.. but this wasnt just the usual lil bit of black smoke it was to the point where u could smell fuel and yor eyes would burn.. this obviously means that theres heaps of fuel that isnt getting burnt. anyways i managed to get the car home and i took the coil packs out to look at them and there was water where the spark plugs are (decent amount). i drained it all out.. dryed the coils and put it back together started the car and its still doing the same thing. then i took the spark plugs out them and found that 3 of them were wet from the fuel. this is obviously an ignition problem any ideas how i can narrow it down to wot part of the ingition system is stuffed? whats the best way to check the coils and the lil modual that sits on top of the plastic cover on at the back end of the engine etc?? help please!!!!!
  3. when i flat it out it pops like hell and the boost guage trys to go ova 7 but obviously cant cause 7 is the highest it can go... i was thinking of connecting a proper gauge so i can see how much its actualy running?? but if its running heaps of boost shouldnt the car pump an equal amount of fuel in order for the ratio to be good?? cause by not holding it flat and only letting in a bit of air and its not poping duznt that mean that the air and fuel is at the right mixture?
  4. im not sure what ecu it has i havent looked.. its how i got the car all i did was put the front mount on. got the car from an auction. ive checked the intercooler pipeing and no leaks
  5. hi everyone.. sorry if theres already a convo about this did a quick search but didnt find something that matched my problem anyways i got an r33 pretty stock apart from front mount, 300zx air flow meter, pod filter. and exhaust.. got a bit of a problem with the boost.. when drive it with the foot the the floor at about 3000-3500 rpm the car starts popping and backfiring badly the power just drops but if i'm in 2nd and i hold the throttle about half way so the stock boost gauge is just over the 0 mark it runs smoothly to the red line then when i shift to 3rd have to hold the boost gauge on the 0 mark for it to run smoothly and so on 4th and 5th.. is this a fuel air ratio problem or spark plugs or fuel pump problem any ideas???? thanks
  6. i also have an r33 with 2 airbags but mine have been diploid cause the car was in a crash. i got new passanger side airbag but i dont have the drivers side yet because ive got a problem. the steering wheel that was on the car is an s14 one and cant seem to find an airbag anywhere.. but i can find plenty of r33 ones.. but then the plastic thing at the back of the wheel that turns. will i have to replce that aswell. and will all the connectors match? bit hard to explain hope you guys understand what im trying to say..??
