Yeah most likely its gonna be the one of the gaskets. I've blown one before and in the verge of blowing another one. Just get your car checked out by an exhaust specialist. It should cost around $300 mark. If you know the guy you might get it cheaper!

Hey! Is it backfire? You'll normally get alot of backfire when you have an after market exhaust. This is normal especially if you run boost. Happens after the fmic was installed as there is more pressure built up n released through the exhaust.

Hey I've had the same problem with my car. Does you car have a full exhaust system? This normally happens when you have a cat-back exhaust. You build too much pressure and you blow out one of the gaskets. So as you rev higher you can hear it louder as it is leaking more air. Try getting an exhaust specialist out. Are you in sydney? Hey guys and girls, Im wondering if anybody knows anything about the weird surging problem i get in my car and if anyone knows how to fix it. When coming on boost wif the accelerator full to the ground the car just keeps on surging and it seems Im losing heaps of power. The car has not always done this. But has started recent. Some say its the AFM but Im not sure. I've got a Mine's ECU in atm and still seems to be doing it. Any clues? Its a Series 2 R33. Thanx!

Hey people, I need your help! I've recently done a general service at home. I changed the oil and spark plugs. I've used a high graded oil (Mobil 1) and copper plugs. I've been giving my car a run since the change and I'm getting a serious engine fluttering noise (which sounds like i'm red lining the car) but i'm only at mid-rev range. This usually happens in all gears between 2500 - 4000 RPM. Would anyone know what is going on with my car? Is it because of the plugs? Its gapped a little wider then it should. Or would it be cause of something else? In desperate help...any help or ways to find out what is wrong is really appreciated! Thanx iBd14U

Well personally i dont fink the engine internals are strong enough to handle the power. I guessing you'll need to change internals, as well as upgrading injectors, fuel pumps...etc... But i've been told you can run up to 18psi on stock internals. Though it would be nice to beat a GTR very hard though! Goodluck buddy! Take me on first parallel boy! Hehe you know what i mean Supra! hahahah

In the end the choice is up to you as it is your car. Some say it's good and others bad. But who can really say but the driver? Well hope you make up you choice, I just like noise! So I'll be getting myself a HKS sequencial BOV! =)

Ronin 09, I think I've given the wrong idea. What I meant was if there was no BOV then it will do that to the turbo the standard BOV is fine as it is but the aftermarket BOV's are suppose to make a less turbo lag.

Well if you purchase magazines like "High Performance Imports" and other such mags then you'll actually read that BOV does actually make a different. Since the air doesnt get recirculated straight back into the turbo slowing down the turbo fast hence turbo lag. A BOV releases that air so there is no slowing down of the fan and hence no turbo lag. But the choice is up to you. Like everyone else says it attracts cops. Cool there's another P plater with a skyline! :burnout:
