  1. i will have to go to dick smith today
  2. that sounds like the go, at the moment i have a vcd stacker under the drivers seat, witht he alpine tv i have i am lucky it comes with a brain under the seat, wich has rca in and rca outs on it, so i can plug a ps2 and a dvd playing in no probs and i have rca outs aswell for another 2 screens, which is handy, next car show i am setting up a 80 cm tv at the stall with just the music from the car and the video clips playing on it
  3. except central highlands special vehicles
  4. Dick smiths is about the nearest thing we have to jaycar up here. is it just for ps2 or do u just plug the power cord into a plug on the invertor?
  5. Emerald is a good lap, its like a figure of 8, the camillian rodeo 2wd ute would have to be one of the favouite cars i saw out there
  6. dude would you do a deal if i bought the whole lot? what condition are they in? i do a fair bit of home installing for mates and people are always askin me about 2nd hand gear i can get hold of
  7. actually that is really good going, it cost $40 to go one way to sydney for my jbl, lucky i didnt have to pay for warrenty although im guessing its because the box is about 600 x 600 x 450 and weighs nealy 20 kg
  8. about all you can import is surf's marko along the lines of 4x4 toyotas in the hilux size, there are all these rules and regs, one being if a car was sold in australia off the show room, you cannot import them, but of course there are exceptions to all these rules
  9. I cant stress enough about cutting steel in the parcel tray, its a big no no, unless you get it re inforced and engineer rated again. they regard it in the same league as cutting springs
  10. another no no is facing subs backwards into a boot. they work but you get big cancelation problems. you best bet is to have foward facing subs with the box ported to the cabin. only cars to face backwards are like hatches i.e. 180's etc.
  11. if space is a problem, seal the subs and run a little larger amp, ported is alot more mucking around but you get more bang for you dollar
  12. there really is no reason in having them, except for room, like in my case, i only have 3 cubic feet spare for sub box, soo its all going to be sub, and i am taking the parcel shelf out of the hatch, and actually having the subs on the top of the box, only because i need 1.5 cubic feet per sub to have htem ported
  13. romp you mean inverting subs, thats when you have them upside down, a sub in a box needs a certain amount of air for it to work, the advantage of inverting a sub is you can have a small box, and see the back of the sub, but it will work exactly the same weather the boxes are seadled or ported.
  14. man i might come down, but ill just sit in the carpark and provide entertainment. I could take the 80 + kg out of the boot, but that would require effort, what would i do without my subwoofers bro
  15. yeah brockycutter is a truckie i think, we he has all the truckie uniforms
  16. ohh and the orangebowl motorsports in the wasteland also, how could i forget
  17. KAOS discussion is basically all people from cq if you want to come have a look there
  18. CQ here, but rockhampton to be exact.
  19. just nose bleeds, they are good for you, right?
  20. you mean what the dog did, nudge nudge wink wink
  21. hehe you said red rocket
  22. glass mounts are not as effective as an external aerial, but normal ones look ugly. my suggestion is, get a mobile phone aerial and take the wire antenna off it but leave the base on the glass, one of the ones that u can take it out with an allen key. get a wire cb aerial and put it into the base of the phone aerial if that makes sence. the important part is keeping the aerial to length because they are all tuned. you cannot simply just use a phone aerial as the aerial, might work but not very well (hope i you know what i mean)
  23. how will a 15" sub fit in a 12" box for posting??
  24. dude will be a case if cutting the old plug off and putting a new one on. cable will be the same and so will the aerial. you wont have to worry bout cutting it because i doubt you will be putting a jap head uni in it again
  25. what happened joshie? no one got into trouble for doing 90 metre skids in a charade i hope?
