    Suburbian Reps?

Really? Oh oops nvm mind then sorry can a mod delete the thread please?
  2. I'm down see you guys at KK....I wonder how welcoming KK is going to be lol
  3. I was thinking people always want to organize group rides and cruises but we seem quiet disorganized at times and I noticed that a lot of the posts are always last minute (Cruiz Tonight, Anyone free 2night? etc.) so I was wondering if other people thought it would be good to have SAUVIC representatives for different regions (I think suburbs would just be overkill) just to assist the commitee to organize events and other stuff, also that way I think it will be easier to organize gatherings so the reps can just inform everyone in his/her's region. Regions could also have independant meetups so they know what other SAU members are near/around them. Just a thought
  4. I think that is a good idea (waring members) basically i think their should be a thread....maybe this one? where ppl post what they have noticed/found about the car but I think as a fair rule you have to provide supporting evidence i.e. creditable damage report (State Roads/RACV Pre-purshase report) or Pictures of the notable damage with an identifiable feature (partial or full plates (license/VIN) Other rules I think should include No personal judgments, No identifiable information (name, specific address (I think just include the area), phone number) what do you think guys? If this is ok with the members I'll swing it buy the mods and get their opinion.
  5. Do you have the equipment? I have a R33 I like to do everything myself not because I'm stingy and don't want to pay for quality service but nowa days $200 for installation that's 2.3 tanks of fuel man! Also I like knowing the fact that I can do it and I don't have to depend on others. If you want I could help you install it but I never worked on a 31.
  6. Haha sorry justin unless your living in one of the houses I supply I cant help you there
  7. Nothing thing fancy Series 1.5 Silver 1995 GTS25-T no mods except for aftermarket blow off Can use as last resort, but would like to meet the passengers before the day, live a bit far so just throwing it in as a last resort cause I would like someone to help out if I was in your situation
  8. That guy should be happy with ANY offer, just out of curiosity where did you he his car? When I looked for it again it looked like he took all the ads down
  9. I recently bought a set of clarion speakers to replace the ones in the front of my R33 GTS-T but I'm having trouble fitting them, the screw holes on the speaker don't align exactly to the existing ones I don't really want to drill holes into the housing and I'm half temped to go back and change them for something that does fit but I was just hoping someone could give me any idea on how to fix my problem Speaker size is 6.5 to replace the existing 6.5 ones
  10. I've been experimenting with n devices for a few months now, cause I supply internet to student housing i've been looking to up grade my system to achieve maximum range and the best stability, The N routers are great overall, they provide great range and due to their setup with the antenna's they are very good at eliminating dead spots usually associated with b & g, as for speed NO router can achieve theoretical maximum speed with N routers, they don't come even close. One of my friends (who's a network admin) and i tried to get the fastest speed through the wireless at his house by transferring compete cd ISO's back and fourth (we were that bored, this was before i got my car) even with idea situations we were greatly disappointed if you look on google you will see loads of complaints where people are pissed off with the speeds they are really getting. But as for range and stability N routers are great, and also as for your other wireless devices, if any of them run on 2.4 Ghz it's going to mess with your wireless, it's known that the 2.4 cordless phones and AV transmitters interfere with wireless for obvious reasons, if you move to ONLY N then you don't have to worry since N runs at the new 5Ghz band it wont interfere with your devices. In my experience unless you get business routers or a server, they tend to crash under high usage (I had a linksys N router supporting 13 heavy users, would crash every otherday) to fix this I replaced it with a b & g with custom linux firmware designed to be stable under heavy usage. I'm not to sure what you mean by spike though, does your internet fluctuate during usage? just so i can see what your dealing with could you list your current setup? (Router, modem, connection...etc...) btw, i'm James the newbie from last night with the R33 EDIT: FYI, unless your router is set to ONLY N you will be limited by b & g bands (i.e. unless everyone is using N and your router is set to ONLY N your network wont be able to achieve full potential cause it hinders itself to work with the older bands)
  11. Good point but there is a very large difference....trust doesn't make cars they make them better, you don't really see aftermarket manufactures buying out other aftermarket manufactures too often But just to clear things up (not to sound cocky, just FYI really) 1993 Maserati was bought by Fiat 1995 50% sold to Ferrari (which 90% is owned by Fiat, Enzo's sun still owns 10 last i checked) 1997 (I think) Ferrari obtained full control of Maserati, few years ago Fiat took over Maserati again
  12. I'm having troubles fasting this VIN # Can anyone confirm? 6U9000ERC33050120 Thanks in advance Edit: Running vista no problems except this, I think it might not be a JAP car (I only have JAP cd's) not sure though NVM Idiot that gave it to me swapped R&C Thanks anyways
  13. Yea they are and I must say that I think the overall positive response.....and now that i think of it I don't think i've read one bad comment about them, is huge in this forum. Maybe SkylineAustralia could affiliate with them some how and members could get a discount?....*hint hint* hahah just a thought
  14. Haha that crossed my mind but when I talk to the guy and told him I wanted my deposit back he didn't even ask why! He actually even said....I know there are a few problems but the guy on the report said the engine ran good right? I was just like....yea...but I'm pretty sure the air wont keep me safe when the Chassis starts falling off!
  15. I'm pretty sure he did know about it, he was pushing really hard for a sale and really skeptic on a fully comprehensive check on the car saying that a RWC was sufficient, and he did say he had that car for awhile so along the lines of owning it he must have found out, I'm sure some mechanic would have told him the extent of the damage...right?
  16. I was scared of that Boroko I know the risks in doing this, I think, but I really like helping people out makes me feel better as a person really, like not many people notice they have rear or brake light out so i use to try to carry all the major manufacturers brand bulbs in my car so I can pull people over and give it to them for a few $$ on my part, it could save people a lot of greif and I take pride knowing I potentially just made someones day better. I think people who owns cars like ours have a bad name and for some reason they think if we have a car like ours all we do is hoon but if they see the integrity of this community and how we try to help people out where ever we can they would have a different view.
  17. Haha Def man I love state roads awesome and great service, I was wondering if anyone has used RACV's similar service? I think it's $215 for the same non-member service but I would like to know if it is as comprehensive Edit: Hey Rekin didn't notice your post before what is RACV like? I put this up also, so people can see how good a job State Roads did
  18. I cant seem to find the ad anymore i hope no one has bought it but I recently went to check a White Manual GTS-T, the seller, seemed a little uneasy and something was off about him so I decided to get the car checked out by State Roads, (Report Attached) it turned out to be a LEMON! please NO ONE buy this car for your own safty and I don't think anyone should have to waste their hard earned dough on this junk! This check cost me $260! I'm uploading it becuase I don't think it is fair for anyone to buy this car and not know what they are getting into, and I would hope people would do the same for me Edit: Location is close to Melbourne CBD SR_Report.pdf
  19. Yea I found that out thanks to this forum i think i saved my self 8.5 grand, after a lot of reading just for the heck of it I decided to get the car checked out by State Roads, and man i'm so happy i did. Turns out the chassis had been in a major accident and it's been welded up, bent in several places and cracking everywhere. I'm going to start a new thread with a link to the guys ad and upload the State Roads Report cause I don't like how dishonest this guy was he was so eager to sell and was trying anything for me not to check this car out and now i know why. He told me it has never been in a crash and it was all in good nick, the State Roads guy REFUSED to test drive it thats how bad it was. I wish people weren't so dishonest, I eventually found this guy called Muhammad who has works in Braeside and does up AV for cars, he has a small business in where he imports cars from japan, he seems to be a straight up dude I like him a lot more then the other guy, he kept it real and didn't hide anything from me, told me where any dints were from the word go, so i'm buying one of his imports. Don't know if anyone here knows him, he's not part of the forums but I said he should start getting into it he has a SICK gold R34 M-SpecNur I'm sure people here would love to see it.
  20. I'm about to buy a 1993 R33 GTS-T I took it for a test drive and everything seems to be great, there are a few minor scratches here and there but nothing that cant be fixed with touch up paint, apart from a small crack in the front spoiler which I think i could probably fix, engine check seems to be fine it's being sent to the shop for a full comprehensive test along with RWC. The car itself I think is a import from japan currently it's done about 157,000 which i thought was a good deal until I saw the odometer (They seller has bad english and stated it traveled 15K, I didn't actually think it was that low and kind of expected it to be 150K but I took a look anyway) he's also including a sony tape deck, with 10 disk changer.....which thanks to my ipod I will probs never use. as well as these features (listed below). Any input would be appreciated thanks -Skyline R33 93' -Turbo -White -17 "P1" racing bronze rims -"Endless" racing use brake pad -Japan "Tanabe" exhaust -"Apex" air filter -Front bar -"Razo" Turbo timer -Turbo and Vaccum meter from japan (colour variation) -Momo genuine leather steering wheel -Sony Xplord CD/MD player (panel removable) -Sony 10 disc desk player -GTR body kit -Timing belt been change -Electric climate -Power window, central lock, alarm -Spot light (He means flog lights) -RWC -Rd registration til to next year April
