The only things that happened before this started was i got the car tuned and the CAS was swapped with another one to try and trouble shoot a problem we were having, Swapping the CAS didn't fix the problem we were having but the other one was left on the car. A few days later i started noticing this problem
  3. As usuall i get a problem that is sometimes there and sometimes not. Sometimes the rpm will rise and fall as normal. Other times when you turn the key to on (with the engine off) the rpm will jump to 500rmp and stay there. Then when you start the car it will just sit around 3000 or 4000rpm and not move, Even at idle. Then it may very slowly move between 4000 and 3000rpm, then even down to 2000rpm. And then it may just start working as normal..... Now i have connected my laptop to the ecu while the problem is happening and the rpm is perfectly fine. HELP PLEASE
  4. Im guessing then you would have tuning cost's on top of that? How hard are these to tune?

  6. Yea i thought so too. Doesn't surprise me with this workshop. They have changed names before and are so crap at what they do and how they treat customers.
  7. Gotta love this. I called the place that tuned my car and asked for the 20psi dyno sheets. he said that the runs weren't sucessful and that he didn't save the runs.... Now how could he tell me that it ran 20psi and the mixtures were fine??? God this place is getting worse and worse.

  9. Yea im gonna ask for the dyno sheets for the 20psi runs on monday. i can run 13.2psi and it will rev out cleanly with no problems. But anything over that and as it gets up in the revs it will just cut out for a second and the whole car jurks.( im guessign thats a missfire?)
  10. it isn't a backfire (but it does do that sometime with slow gear changes) it more of a quick popping noise for a few seconds that you can hear out the exhaust.
  11. im worried that the car is running lean and detonating. Would the popping noise and the missfire be caused by it running too lean?
  12. Yea the coils are stock. It's funny it would pop through the exhaust sometimes and other times it would be ok.
  13. I got my r33 tuned, it currently has a haltech intercepter and high flow turbo that gcg have told me can run 20psi no problems. My tuner (who is a bit of a muppet)tuned my car at 12psi, because he said the extra few kw wasn't worth it for the extra pressure. He told me he ran it at 20psi and it ran fine and didn't lean out. So after i got the car back i pushed the boost up to see how it would go. At 15psi it really halls and feels like a different car compared to 12psi. I tryed to push it more to 17psi and it started popping out the exhaust and it also had a bad missfire (the car just completely cut for a second) as i was reving the gear out. It also blew off one of the vac lines, so i had to stop and put that back on. I got it back to 15 psi and it's happy. The thing i want to know is what might have caused the popping and missfire, and once your car is tuned, The fuel maps modified and the timing is advanced as much as possiable, How can you get more power out of it?
  14. The pump is done, the injectors aren't near maxing out and the afm is fine.
  15. So can anyone tell me how you can get more power out of a high flowed turbo?
  16. When i accelerate fairly quickly and then have to come to a stop my stalls too. But the idle is fine. I just try to keep the revs up if i accelerate quickly and have to stop.
  17. I didn't see it on the dyno but apparently it held boost and the fuel ratio was fine. It just didn't make very much more power
  18. SO is that to say if i have the same mods and high flow turbo and im not making near that power with more boost then my tuner did a crap job?

  20. Do people know how much you can get out of a high flowed r33 turbo? Mines a RB25 and im making 290Hp at 12psi. But they guy that tunes it said he wound the boost up too 20psi but only got about 10 more Hp. Does this sound right?
  21. exactly. If you do it yourself you know what has been done. And i try to do anything i can myself so i dont get ripped off. But dyno tuning will always be a problem for people to do at home
  22. Yea i went to a hose shop and they only stuff they had that was the right size and was oil resistant was $30 a meter. Is this about right?
  23. Can someone please tell me what hose they use to connect the catch can? And where you can get it.
