I went over to Malaysia for the Sepang MotoGP a couple of w/e's ago....... of course, Rossi won there...... Was an awesome 2 days. Aussie Kasey Stoner winning the 125's Like Silver-Arrowz said, wot a champ! he wins on a bike that shouldnt have been winning.

Hmmmmm... I went through a bad patch for about 3 months where I was constantly getting pulled over in differnt suburbs. It annoyed me to the point where I would keep my yellow lickies on right up until it expired the next day, just so cops wouldnt continualy go through my car. I got pulled up on the fwy one night (not speeding) the cop gets off his bike checks my license, then goes over to my yellow & checks the date on it, looks @ me & says "Was just checking it hadn't expired"... ??!! Had another cop pull me over, pulled up next to me in a car park, doesnt even get outta the car, shines the torch on my windscreen from the inside & just says "oh, you already have one" Dont take my car out much on w/e's & @ nite now...

I agree that JV isn't anything that is OVERLY special - He p*ssed off alot of ppl with some of the comments he has made previously, but on the up side, you need controversial ppl - it makes things a bit more exciting. "He won a world championship in a car that ANYONE would have won in!!! " Give the guy cred for even getting to F1. Not everyone that has the talent makes it, & not every one that has an open bank account makes it. Which ever way you make it (talent or $$$$) into a top team, in any division, it takes some sort of talent to win.... cars don't haul their own butts around race tracks.

Just saw this topic & had a quick skim throu... I got a call from a journalist from the Stirling Community paper about the hoon laws & if I was interested in doing an interview to explain the point of view about the new laws from a modified car owner. I agreed to the interview... I basiclly just said that I have no issues with the fact that if someone is doing something wrong then they suffer the penalties. They knew that I had been hassled by cops a fair bit so they wanted to know if i felt like a target for these new laws. End result being that I made it clear that providing police implement these laws on the driver for their behaviour on the roads not for the way that they appear then there is no problem. I think we're all to aware of the fact that the spotlight is on young drivers with modified vehicles. The story should be in the community paper next tuesday. So if your in that area then look out for it.... im not sure if other community papers other then Stirling will use the story, they said their may be a chance that it will get used in other papers.

Just reading from the top.... I wouldnt import one... . If you haven't been involved in this b4 then you best bet would be to buy here in Aust & Talk to knwoledgeable ppl & suss out as much as you can. Otherwise you'll just be waisting your $$$ Good luck with it all.

Im not a fan of the wing on that yellow 33 either.... mind you, each to their own. some ppl dont like mine, others love it. Dan.... hahaha.... Ive had it for a year, time for something new trust me, Ive been VERY tempted to just let loose on it. But, It'll be up for sale after October.

I know its late but.... Just on the topic of trying to promote the fact that all jap imort drivers arent hoons etc. It doesnt even matter *if* you got a semi good natured story on today tonight or a current affair. Ppl may see the story then go out on the road the next night & see some 20 y/o in their R33 weaving through traffic doing 100kms in a 60 zone. Now, I dont know anyone that bought their import jus to look good - of course they ocasionly get throttle happy. But you know as well as I do that anyone in any type of hotted up car is gonna do the same & give it some. It just so happens that Imports got cracked down on. A story isnt going to change ppls opinions because it wont be true, & if they did believe it then they r mighty gullable. Id like to have someone tell me that they havent raced someone, or got their car sideway or gone over the speed limit. But like I said, its not just an import thing. Dont get me wrong, Im not dissing anyone at all. Even if you were the best skyline driver & didnt do any of that, you would have to be one of very few, am I right? even if you dont do it very often. Yea sure, there are positives to the import scene...... but you dont need a story on the ppl involved. ppl make up their own minds when they drive down the street & see our cars.

Locknuts are pretty much just a way to hold the theives up..... Like ferni said, all you need is a chisel to get them off. Takes no time at all if you've done it before.

Wow, is that truely your first encounter of being labled under the "ricey" banner??? get use to it!!! lol I work 4 Holden - U can imagine the sh*t that I cop. I've got alot of friends with some very fast good ol' V8's - we always dissin' each others cars - all in good fun. theres soooooooooooo many comebacks for both groups of cars. The rivalry has been there for years - & will always be there. makes things interesting

I just recently got insurance for my R33.. dam that was a mission & a half! I got my car from SA so seeing as no one in WA would even touch me (19y/o) I went throu SA - Classic Cars (which is based in WA) but turned out cheaper for me to go thou SA. 96 R33 turbo 60% no claim insured for $32k I pay $3580 per year OUCH!

Guys, Ive got an R33 which has a Nismo 240km Digital Dash. Apparently the centre screen in the dash was used as a satelite Nav. system in Japan. Its currently just blank obviously cos the Jap nav system was dissconected. Has anyone seen / heard of these????
