i went through two stages where i couldn't leave the house without getting pulled over 1. on my p's it didn't matter how or what i was driving got pulled over on average of once a week for rego and breath checks. it stopped the day i got my full license. 2. after being pulled into an rbt (on my full license) on my way home from work and blowing 0.000 the cop must of been having a bad night, because he made me do 8 more follow up tests just to make sure the reading was correct! then he had to let me go. the same officer then harassed me for approx 2 years, he even tried setting me up by using other cops in marked cars to try and get me to race at lights while he sat a few cars back on his bike and every time i refused to race he pulled me over and defected me for anything he could find (he even defected a hire car i was driving brand new at the time 2007 corolla for being to low?? it was stock) it took for me to go into a police station and file harassment charge against him for it to stop. since filling a harassment charge i haven't been pulled over once in 3 years. cops pull up behind me do a rego check and take off.

if it was me you saw its a vertex rear bar and my 32 is gunmetal grey i saw you aswell i was driving next to you then i turned onto south road and you continued on, what happened to your front lip

bringing the old man along is always a good idea if your young, its not that one station is better than the other its just if you get an inspector on a bad day but aslong as your car is clean and stock and your polite there should be no worries. good luck with the inspection

glad to here you got the problem solved, as for next upgrades i always upgrade the suspension, brakes and clutch before i modify the engine. and as for upgrading your turbo before you do that you should upgrade the mods that will support the new turbo's power increase eg: fuel pump, injectors, plugs etc.

even just using another standard set that you know are in good condition will doother wise i like lotsalag's idea of pulling the plug on one cylinder at a time i wish i had of thought of that when i did mine lol

if you can get your hands on a good set of replacement coil packs id suggest trying them out as a set i had on an rb20 were showing no signs of wear and one day one crapped out and it ran just like your describing (with no warning) all i had to do was change out the coil packs and it was fine

doesnt sound like any of the id checks ive ever had or any of my mated and we have brought a few cars from interstate both in our names and not and its the same thing everytime, we go to the id check station and even tho we have the vin stamped on the firewall and on plates aswell they still make us stamp it on the strut tower, also every time any of us have gone for an id check we get a full defect check hoist and all ive never been out of there in less than an hour. it all comes down to how prepared you are if you take it back to stock, clean it up and go in there looking respectable your looked apon better and they are more likley to go easy on you. (also act like you dont know much about cars and try to ask them questions, it seems to make them feel good lol) good luck
