Trying To Over Come - Over Boosting
harvo replied to noddle's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
How difficult was it to strip/reassemble your turbo? Thinking about stripping mine (it's not making much boost at all, was running 12psi) thinking the wast gate might be playing up. any pointers? ps: sorry, not much help I know. Checked all your vacuum/pressure lines. Actuator spring might have given up? Cheers Dan -
Hey, hey I'm still plodding along with the new paint, hard trying to stay motivated when there's so much sanding to do But anyway, where getting there Might through some of this over the green base if I get keen when the time comes Cheers Dan

Thanks guys, lots of sanding done and still lots to go I'd love to see some pics of DOHC210's car, I suck at the hole computer thing to but you'll work it out after a few triple posts of random computer speak instead of the pictures you wanted to post Is your motor an RB30/25 frankin motor? sounds awsome. Adelaide's a long way from Lithgow guys, always keen for a road trip tho. anyway back to it, car aint gonna paint it's self. Cheers Dan

The trim on the leading edge of the drivers side guard was smashed, but the bonnet trim and the piece that runs along the lower edge of the grill are damaged too. Cheers Dan

I had a gasket made for an import G180Z Isuzu engine (jap Gemini) and it wasn't that expensive, but I can't remember the name of the company pretty sure they were in VIC, somewhere. Might be worth a try googling? Cheers Dan

Help Removing Chrome Trims From C210 Coupe
harvo replied to harvo's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Thanks mate, Have all the trims off of the front and rear windows (only broke 1 clip) but when you say "door skins" do you mean the interior door cards/trims? when I hear door skin I think outer sheet metal of door. Either way I think I'll just mask them off. Thanks for the fast reply, Dan -
Help Removing Chrome Trims From C210 Coupe
harvo posted a topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Hey guys, I'm getting my car ready for paint and removing all the necessary stuff, just a bit worried about damaging the trims trying to get them off. Anyone got any tips for me? I've done a search(came up with a can opener ) and had a look through the workshop manual but it only gives a cross section of the trims. I'm assuming they just clip on but thought I should ask before getting heavy handed with it. Trims to be removed: Top trim of rear window Top & side trim of front window Door & quarter glass trim Drip rail trim Cheers Dan -
Hey, I've got the OK from my better half to go ahead with respray after stripping the rear end to do some rust repairs Thinking about going with this Tropicana green (was the closest match at short notice) with either a gold ghost pearl or a blue shimmer pearl as the original green has a bluish kinda tinge . more pics here Cheers Dan
-
Cheers Guys, Not looking to sell at present, just curious Plans are to fix it up for rego first then maybe think about a respray in the original green or close to. Have been pulling little bits off and taking them to work (bead blaster) and cleaning them up. Also started to paint strip/polish the wheels which is going to be a mission. but anyway passin ewe: There's not a lot of chrome showing on the bumpers really,with all the plastic crap hanging off them. Thought about some chrome spray?(shudders) Oh and by manual do you mean the gear box or the manual I got off ebay a couple of weeks ago? Dan

Took some better pic's today, still needs some tlc but is running well at the moment. Was wondering what sort of price it would fetch if I wanted to sell it at the moment. Photo's here Cheers Dan

240k Clutch Master Cylinder<->into C210?
harvo replied to harvo's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Thanks Drew, I've actually pulled all three apart and inspected them, I gave the master cylinders a good hone/polish and they came up like new so have reassembled them to see how they go, but the clutch slave cylinder isn't real flash and it's only going to cost $30 to replace. Cheers Dan -
240k Clutch Master Cylinder<->into C210?
harvo replied to harvo's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Thanks mate, That will save me a $100 odd dollars considering I probably need both brake and clutch master cylinders as well as the slave cylinder ps: nabco is the other Cheers Dan -
That looks great man, very clean and tidy. Am so tempted to give mine a good tidy up, but my wife will do unspeakable things to me if I head down that road again Quick Q's: Did you make your strut brace, if so where did you get the turn buckle/adjuster from? Cheers Dan
-
As title states, are they interchangeable? This is the one I'm thinking about:Here Cheers Dan
