  1. Vortex is also 98 apparently, also they run a detergent thru ultimate so its cleaner fuel, would recommend not using optimax, ive heard too many stories of motorbike engines being destroyed after using optimax

  3. when i needed paint for mine, they made up part #: *DU-CG2100ML thats for the black that looks goldish in the sun, that was at Commpaint in canberra, i think it should be the same?
  4. sounds good, ill see you all there
  5. hehehe yeah... Waz, i only have the stock wing so its no problem for me, just offering suggestions
  6. R32 doesnt have struts, i had the opposite problem when i took my wing off, but i think theres a spring or similar where the "hinge" things are that the boot pivots from, maybe you could rw-tension or similar to help you out?
  7. ahh yes i remember that car park, bet ur glad u didnt park near the harbour bridge when it fell down
  8. i did a similar type of course with AAMI at the sutton driver training centre, found it quite good and would be up for another if theres a group deal going on
  9. yeah mate when i took my wing off, the bootlid "flew" up, but when i put it back onit doesnt, so id say its a lack of weight, possibly try a different spring (if you can find it) or adding some weight to the underside of the boot just under whee the wing goes??
  10. hi all, apparently ANZAC day is usually a big day at the 'gong, so a few mates and myslef will most probably be heading down there, if anyone else isnt doing anything and wants to join us just post up here and we can arrange a meeting place so the drive wont be so lonely
  11. always, theres plenty of free parking on the construction sites
  12. yeah sounds good, ill be there
  13. doesnt really worry me, Also, the signs on the way into canberra say that every street here has a 50 km/h speed limit unless otherwise stated, so every street should be assumed to be 50 until u see the sign that says 60 or 80 or whatever, but if they are making all 60 km/h streets 50, then u dont have to worry bout being ina 50 or 60 zone at all, cos there aint gonna be any 60 zones
  14. next to Powatone exhausts, on Collie street
  15. I've got R32 RB20, wheels and brakes are same as, silvia 2lt turbo. are the dba rotors bigger diameter, do u know?
  16. Pete at Autotech is a great bloke, i recommend that u go there
  17. be very careful with it, u turn the speed up too hi or sit in the one spot too long nice big swirl marks in your paint
  18. hehehe glad i could help u booster, the problem may and probably will arise again but not for another 10 yrs hopefully
  19. meguiars all the way
  20. therees a shroud thing around ur gagues, that has about 5 screws holding it in, after removing these screws, you need to unplug the looms from the switches mounted on the shroud, there are five or six plugs that need to come off, also it may help to label where the plugs came from (lights, foggies etc...) after the shroud is free, you may need to lower the steering wheel to free shroud, the switch can be removed, by undoing another four i think it is screws, then the switch will come out but remember, the car is very well screwed together and there can be "hidden" screws that you may not see at first glance, dont want to break anything
  21. there is no relay for the headlights on an R32, its all through the switch, mine does the same thing but im waiting till the w'end to take the switch out to clean the contacts in the switch, the problem can be caused by arc-ing in the switch which leaves hi resistance deposits on the contacts hence the no low beams
  22. my car did that just recently, but it fully seized, and i had to "break" into it and pull the door apart, in the end there were two bits of metal in the locking part that were rubbing and they werent supposed to so i took a spring out and fixed it dodgy style, but it works good
