hey somewhere on this fourm there was a topic talkin about what you should do befor you buy a car,this is a quote from that topic "Drive at 60km/h and listen for any unusual noises. Accelerate to 80km/h, does the front end shake or vibrate? " my car does this sometime like it will hold gear siting on 80km/h - 85km/h then sooner or later it will change gear then start doing it also my car kind shakes when i go 80k and over it also has no guts what so ever at this point in time then i get back down to 55 and under and it stops,nice car to drive around to or a suburb but once i get on a highway or even 70km/h its shite drive ive been to a mechanic 3 times and thoes usless basterds took my money without fixing the problem $600 lata nice dent in the bank,anyway ive done some research and me and my freinds agree its the trany or tailshaft but my dumb ass mechanic said the tail shaft has been reconditioned?i need a 3 and 4th opinion any ideas anybody?oh yea its a 87 vl berlina

My car does this sometimes but wont do it under heavy acceloration ive done some reasearch on the net bought a book on repairs (Its a vl) been to a mechanic ect and my reasearch tells me it might be the clutch plate in the transmission is sliping MY farkin mechanic cant even figure it out what could this be anybody know, Oh yea its a vl commodore the reason im postin about a vl on here and not calaistubro.com is because i get treated like a retard every time i ask a qustion.

Nah the 180 aint for me i couldnt see myself driving one not my type of car,if im going to spend 11k to 13k on a car why not get a r32 gts-t yea it might require a fair bit of maintence but so does every car i dont care about the money i spend on it (Maintaining it) because its worth it in the end im not gona go buy a car i dont like because its cheaper and only 2. L should come in milk cartons

Btw - irespective of model, baring the N/A GTS none would be legal in some states of Australia for a P plater. It is in legal in WA

Hey guys and gals my names Daniel and ive just recently turned 18.I currently own a Vl berlina commodore i have a few qustions to ask so here it goes. So to put it simple i am waying up wether to finance in a r32 with a $5000 deposit or to rebuild a Rb30 into a Rb30det and restore the body of my vl and put the RB30det into the vl (the stock rb30 is coming from my old car ) ,another option is for me to finance the r32 and sell my commodore to put the money towards it so then i only have lets say roughly $4000 to pay off and the car is mine and id have a spare engine (RB30DET) What would you do?
