so essentially just bypass the relay and apply a 12v power source, im sorry to sound naive, but is there any specific point you think i should run the terminals off? or use a car battery just next to it and touch the terminals once they're connected to power it.

I purchased an R33 recently, and one of the problems with the car is that it has a broken drivers side power window, initially the previous owner said it was a problem with the window relay, but turns out that was just a loose terminal, but when myself and a friend removed it and tried a relay from an R32 it didn't achieve anything, all that happens now is the relay just clicks (old and new) when trying to wind the drivers side window up. my belief is either that the window mechanism itself is just locked up due to it being like that for an extended period of time, or that the motor for the window itself is ceased. Also if someone knows a way of overriding the power window mechanism so that i might be able to leave the window in a permanently "up" state would work too. I was wondering if anyone has experienced an issue similar to this, or if someone could recommend a good way of testing this. (trying to avoid removing the motor until i know it to be the case) car is under lockup obviously as i wouldn't be leaving an r33 around with the window wide open :s

a) nobody knows which cars mine, b) the spots not too particular, just the how to do it was more my concern, haha but yeah good point.

apparently they did it from the day they processed the paperwork, not the date i came in to finalize it all :S

just got off the phone to them, they've extended it until the 9th of october and aren't budging on it :|

so tonight i had the unpleasant experience of someone attempting to steal my car, and it's raising a few questions about car security. i'm going to install an alarm system on thursday into the car, and i've spent the better part of my afternoon cleaning the garage to get it in there with the other car. But i'm also looking to install a killswitch, and one idea i did have was to get a button installed inside the cigarette lighter unit (have never used a cigarette lighter in the car in my life) im just wondering if anyone would have the patience to give me a run down on how i would achieve such a thing, or point me in the direction to do it.

So my friend is telling me to get one of these to replace my broken dash cluster i was wondering what the LCD actually displays, obviously it's prettier but i'm wondering what sets it apart from the stock R33 dash.

Hey all, i recently purchased an R33 S1 that just needs a few interior upgrades (wear and tear, etc) my mate has a few near immaculate S2 pieces (gauge cluster surround/air vents/switch replacements) just wondering if they're interchangeable with the s1 (and if it's difficult to do) also would be changing the center console at some point too, and wondering if an S2 center console and gearstick surround would work with relative ease aswell. thanks in advance.
