  1. wonderful, do you have a v trim t04 wheel mattyb? what turbine do you have? what power are you making?
  2. did you get my pm rr 32 wa?
  3. Prez, sent you a pm Boostd, I don't agree with you and I am going to leave it at that so I dont start a shit fight, but next time I think you stay out of people's posts. turbo is sold.
  4. I don't think its the compressor, there are plenty of rb25's out there that have larger compressors etc... I think you'll find its the match between the tubine and the compressor. If you have a VG30 turbine, then that is most likely your problem. The turbine is around 42mm and the 13b turbine is around 52mm, flows a lot more. There was absolutly no surge on my car, and I doubt very much that it would surge on a 25. MRPREZ, It is a little laggy, but I got used to it pretty quick. Increasing timing before the turbo comes on song, will make it spool a little quicker (more exhaust gas). My turbo pulls all the way to red line.
  5. runs fine, no surge. thats sounds crazy to me, wouldn't surge be dependent on the turbine and compressor combination and not just the compressor?
  6. if you look above its only the turbine housing of the vl, not the centre cartidge. The hole you are talking about has been tapped and takes a banjo fitting, does not use a flange fitting (you can actually see the banjo bolt in the hole). but well spotted anyway. I can tell you for sure the standard rb20 lines all connect straight up and I can also tell you they are the same as an rb25. cheers
  7. that aint stupid, just isn't bolted to the turbo, I can probably get a pic if your interested, but it just looks like a normal wastegate actuator.
  8. Thanks GTST I thought that was the case. only the turbine housing is VL, but the standard Rb20 water and oil lines all bolted straight up to it.
  9. my 3 inch cat was longer than my standard one. So you may need to get the front pipe extended. I have the other longer Cat if you wanted to swap, it is pretty much brand new.
  10. have you got any pics of the radiator? can you email them to [email protected]
  11. BAO2ME, I can confirm that the turbo will definently bolt straight onto the manifold, I need to get someone else to confirm that the oil and water lines are the same, but I am 80% sure they will bolt up, intake hose fitting is the same, your exhaust will need slight modification to fit onto the front pipe as I had a 3 inch cat (which was a bit longer), so if your running the standard cat, you should probably replace it anyway, 3 inch -> 2.25 inch -> 3 inch is no good.
  12. nope, if you look closely, the wastegate is part of the dump pipe, so unless you had a vl turbo or similar, you would have to get it modified.
  13. oh and here is some info about vl turbine housings hairline cracks. http://www.ozperformance.net/forum/showthr...read.php?t=5950
  14. 4 - 4500 rpm. its highish on an rb20 (hits bloody hard though) and they rev well, would probably be perfect on a rb25.
  15. I do have a picture of the front pipe to, but for some reason its saying I have already uploaded it. the front pipe is stainless.
  16. Turbo was made by ats, same turbo as used on Clockwork conversion in Zoom. 13B turbine wheel, .63 vl exhaust housing, T4 comp wheel (think its a V-trim), 13b comp housing machined. Good for 250rwkw's. Was modified by turboworx to bolt straight onto RB20 (probably fit Rb25 as well) with all plumbing to bolt straight up, including heat shield for that stock look that we require to avoid defects. I modified the rb20 with cooler and exhaust and the turbo made more difference than them both put together. Never ran it above 13psi, as I never got it tuned. Was on the car for a month before I lost my license :-) The exhaust housing has the standard hairline crack all vl's have across the wastegate hole. The dual dump is a work of art. Price $1200 for the lot.
  17. Edited: Stupid Post
